According to Forbes magazine, speaking at a press conference the same morning, President Sheinbaum said that the head of Mexico's Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Alicia Bárcena, will represent the government at the event.
Ms. Sheinbaum emphasized that the President's main duty is his country, international relations are also important, but ministers will perform well in representing the government at those international events.
At the press conference, the first female head of state of the North American country also said that she is considering attending the G20 Summit scheduled to take place in Brazil next November because she hopes for German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's visit to Mexico.
If he attends the G20 summit, it will be President Sheinbaum's first state visit abroad.
Earlier this month, Ms. Sheinbaum was inaugurated as President of Mexico and began a six-year term leading the North American nation.
In her inaugural speech at that time, she announced that she would focus on domestic policies, including social security, poverty reduction and maintaining economic stability as well as attracting investment.
