Vietnam Textile and Garment Group celebrates 30th anniversary

(Chinhphu.vn) - On the evening of August 1, in Hanoi, Vietnam Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) held a ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary, looking back on the past journey and expressing aspirations for the road ahead.

Delegates performed the activation ceremony of the new version of the Group's electronic portal.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Tien Truong, Chairman of Vinatex Board of Directors, affirmed that 30 years is a journey of continuous efforts, creativity and affirmation of the spirit of a united collective, overcoming all difficulties. Today, Vinatex can be proud to be the main pillar of the national textile industry and a prestigious link in the global textile supply chain.

Over the past 30 years, each stage of construction and development has recorded golden marks from the innovation, creativity and cooperation of generations of Vinatex people. Those achievements have been recognized by the Party and the State with many noble awards such as the Gold Star Medal (2010), Ho Chi Minh Medal (2005), Third Class Independence Medal (2000), Labor Hero Title (2015)....

Also according to Mr. Le Tien Truong, entering the new phase, Vinatex will firmly adhere to the strategy of "One destination - providing complete solutions for textiles and green fashion " with a vision to 2045 of becoming one of the textile and garment corporations with large added value, high competitiveness, a reliable partner in the global textile and garment chain, and a stock worth investing in.

"We are committed to sustainable development, with the goal by 2030: Double consolidated profit and triple individual profit, ensure the average annual income of employees is 2-3% higher than the actual CPI, meet 100% of environmental standards and reduce greenhouse gas emissions," affirmed the Chairman of Vinatex's Board of Directors.

To realize that goal, the Group will continue to improve production and business capacity on the basis of modern technology, comprehensive digital transformation, in-depth investment, and development of green and sustainable products. At the same time, it will focus on developing human resources, building a culture of innovation and expanding the market with products of unique value.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Lai Xuan Lam, Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee, expressed that, looking back on the 30-year journey, it can be affirmed that Vinatex has excellently fulfilled the tasks assigned by the Party and the State, both operating effectively and playing a key role in the industry, as evidenced by many noble medals and awards such as the Gold Star Order, the Ho Chi Minh Order and the title of Hero of Labor.

In the new situation, to achieve the big goals, Mr. Lai Xuan Lam suggested that Vinatex needs to continue to promote the 30-year tradition, constantly innovate, and implement well some key orientations such as: Taking science, technology, and innovation as the main foundation to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and competitiveness of enterprises. Promoting digital transformation, green transformation, energy conversion, circular economy, implementing commitments and initiatives on environment, society, and corporate governance (ESG).

Along with that, the leaders perform well the political tasks, production and business; participate in the supply chain with a solid position, being the priority partner of major manufacturers and distributors in the world. Build trust with customers based on the strength of the business, the capacity to bring optimal efficiency to the whole chain.

Breakthrough in technology and high-value products is considered a key factor in creating business differentiation to develop new competitiveness.

At the same time, focus on training a team of high-quality staff and human resources to meet new market and technology requirements.
