“Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children”, from 2023 to present, the Women's Union of Tan Son district has established 18 “Leaders of Change” Clubs in schools in the district. The "Leaders of Change" Club at Tan Son Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities helps students openly share information

The Change Leaders Club was established to provide students with a useful playground, sharing information and knowledge about age psychology, gender, communication skills in family, school and society.

Each club consists of 30 members, students from grades 6 to 9, most of whom are ethnic minorities. They are often shy and timid, not daring to speak in front of a crowd and are not fully equipped with knowledge about gender equality and potential risks that threaten their personal safety. Through this model, students can speak up, change relationships that demonstrate equality in school and are protected by the community. On the other hand, they are also equipped with knowledge and skills to protect themselves and solve problems related to themselves. In particular, the establishment of the model will also support local authorities and functional agencies to effectively implement programs and policies related to children, support teachers to effectively implement educational programs for students and prevent gender-based violence, child abuse, trafficking, kidnapping and child marriage.

The establishment of the Leaders of Change Club aims to equip children with knowledge and skills to protect themselves. Moreover, it helps them to change their attitudes, awareness, and behavior in preventing and responding to issues related to children; at the same time, change the awareness of the young generation of ethnic minorities right from school. Club members will be the pioneers in changing awareness and eliminating gender stereotypes. From there, gradually eliminate backward habits and customs to develop together.
