From mid-May to late June 2025, scientists opened two archaeological excavation pits with a total area of 60 square meters .
Of which, one pit in the East of the North tower to clarify the lobby and entrance to the North tower; one pit in the North and East of the South tower to clarify the scale, structure and entrance to the South tower.

During the archaeological exploration and excavation process, scientists also opened two more exploration pits with a total area of 6 square meters in the North of the North Tower and the South of the South Tower of the Lieu Coc Twin Towers relic .

As a result, in parallel with the discovery of traces of the architectural foundations of the South tower, North tower and the surrounding walls on the South and North sides, this excavation also collected more than 9,300 specimens and artifacts.
In which, the main focus is on types of architectural materials, architectural decorations, stele fragments, enameled pottery, porcelain, earthenware and bronze metal pieces.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Chat, an officer of the National History Museum who presided over the excavation of the Lieu Coc Twin Towers, said that through the results of this archaeological excavation as well as the first excavation results (in 2024), although there are still many limitations in the excavation area, it can be affirmed that the Lieu Coc Twin Towers are an architectural complex distributed on a low alluvial mound, located on the right bank, near the Bo River.

The Lieu Coc Twin Towers relic is planned in a flat area with 2 main temples and towers in the center, surrounded by a wall system separating the central area from the outskirts, with the entrance through the Gate tower architecture.
What is special is that Lieu Coc Twin Towers - a unique religious architectural work of the Cham people in Vietnam in particular and the world in general - has two main worship towers (usually there is 1 tower or 3 main worship towers).

At the reporting session, local representatives and experts made many recommendations on preserving and promoting the value of the Lieu Coc Twin Towers relic , as well as continuing to expand excavation in the coming time.

Lieu Coc Twin Towers is an architectural and artistic relic of great value, marking a period of development in the history and culture of the Vietnamese people in general and the Cham people in particular. In 1926, the relic was studied by the French Far Eastern Institute and ranked as an ancient relic in the whole of Vietnam and Indochina at that time.
In 1994, the Lieu Coc Twin Towers relic was ranked as a National Architectural and Artistic Relic by the Minister of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism).
