The film Where Dreams Return deals with the generational conflict between a wealthy, domineering grandmother (People's Artist Le Khanh) and her stubborn, playboy-like grandson named Gia An (Lanh Thanh). Although it has not been on air for long, the film has received mixed reviews from the audience.
Not only was the film criticized for its uncreative script and rigid, sometimes derogatory character dialogue, it was also judged to have poor casting.
Specifically, the main character Gia An is a rich young master who has just returned from studying abroad and has a liberal, free-spirited mindset and likes to be pampered. This role was given to "big screen male god" Lanh Thanh to play.

It's just a pity that the beautiful image that Lanh Thanh built on the MV and previous movies was not highly appreciated in the movie Where Dreams Return . The actor's weakness in his strong local accent and his style that was not really suitable made Lanh Thanh receive many mixed comments:

In the face of mixed comments, Lanh Thanh has remained completely silent. However, the actor recently shared on his personal page that a group of people have set up "boycott groups" to boycott him.
Faced with the incident, Lanh Thanh borrowed the words of his grandmother to explain: "Grandma, I read the comments in some groups and pages and saw that many people were inciting and trying to boycott me. From a work perspective, I was successful.
It's okay, I'm also a vegetarian, so people can bleach it however they want. Just turn on the TV every night and watch me perform.
