On the morning of June 26, millions of candidates across the country officially entered the 2025 High School Graduation Exam with the subject of literature. This is the first exam organized under the new general education program. This year's literature exam attracted attention when it required candidates to write about the theme of the country, with a profound message: "The sky of any homeland is the sky of the Fatherland".
At the Le Quy Don High School Examination Council (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City), the first candidates left the examination room with a light and comfortable mood. Many volunteers were present at the school gate to give gifts, support and encourage the students.
Similarly, at the Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted exam council (District 5, Ho Chi Minh City), many candidates also expressed excitement and radiance after completing the literature exam.
At the school gates, many parents were present early to pick up their children, share the joy and encourage them to keep their spirits up for the next exams.
Minh Anh happily shook hands with her mother to celebrate her successful completion of the first exam.
"Knowing that my child did well on the test, I was so happy that I immediately called home to tell my family," contestant Tuyet Vy's parents could not hide their joy.
A parent did not hesitate to go to the school gate to share joy with his child after completing the exam.
Thao My confidently took a photo with her father and shared: "I write quite well, I hope to get the score I want."
According to Dan Tri reporters at the exam site of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (District 5), from around 5am, the area in front of the school gate was crowded with parents bringing their children to take the exam. Although there was shade and a team of volunteers to support them, many parents still chose to stay, sitting on motorbikes or bringing folding chairs to wait for their children. Many people brought water bottles, lunch boxes, and sun-protective clothing, as if preparing for a long day with their children.
As soon as she saw her brother at the school gate, Thien An's sister quickly hugged him to congratulate him on completing the first exam.
Mr. Phan Thanh Hien, a Math teacher at Quang Trung Nguyen Hue Secondary and High School, personally took the school's candidates to the exam site, accompanied them and encouraged them before the exam. "I want the students to feel secure, with teachers by their side during important moments. Each exam is not only a test of knowledge but also a milestone in the students' maturity," Mr. Hien shared.
Many units and volunteers supporting the exam season were on duty from early morning, handing out water, hand-fanning, guiding parents and candidates, creating a beautiful image during the important exam season.
This afternoon, candidates will continue to take the second exam, Mathematics, with a 90-minute test time.
