Overheating repair application
Mr. Xuan Truong - owner of a construction materials dealer on Le Trong Tan Street (Thanh Xuan District) said that in recent days, due to the impact of storm No. 3, people's demand for repairing houses, production facilities... is increasing sharply. Mainly related to the problem of leaking, damaged corrugated iron roofs or heavy rain causing wall seepage that needs to be handled.
"The workload has increased quite a lot, every day there are people calling to fix problems related to the roof, waterproofing... I also urge my colleagues to try to support the family as quickly as possible, because the weather has been erratic recently, if we don't fix it quickly, it will take more time to repair" - Mr. Truong shared.
Meanwhile, the owners of many construction material dealers in areas such as Hoang Quoc Viet, Kim Nguu, Dai La, My Dinh..., all acknowledged that after storm No. 3, people's demand for fixing leaks, trimming fallen tree branches; buying and selling corrugated iron products, construction materials, wall glue... increased very high.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Sang - owner of a steel facility in the My Dinh area (Nam Tu Liem district) said that in recent days, the store has been full of repair schedules due to a sharp increase in orders. Because the number of workers is limited, they cannot meet all repair needs, and in many cases, they have to refuse customers from far away.
"Currently, our weekend repair appointments are all booked, and we will only accept work next week. Most of the repairs and reinforcements are done because many families have installed them carelessly, or they have degraded or chosen poor quality products, leading to insufficient thickness when encountering storms with strong winds, causing the roof to fly off, or trees falling and causing holes in the roof," said Mr. Sang.
Material prices are low
Although the demand for repairs and materials increased, the business owners tried to support people by still selling at the listed price and sending quotes in advance when needed to repair houses to stabilize after the storm.
Mr. Tran Quoc Thang - in charge of sales of the General Agent of Construction Materials in Dai Mo (Nam Tu Liem) said that although the demand is high, the agent does not increase product prices, and does not take advantage of the demand to increase prices for profit.
"After the storm, although we received many orders, my agent will send quotes in advance as well as support during the construction process such as pumping, gluing, and replacing gutters..." - Mr. Thang said.
