The Customs Department said that at Tra Linh international border gate, Cao Bang province, the Customs Department's working group coordinated with Tra Linh international border gate customs - Customs Branch VI, to inspect goods contained in a container transported from China showing signs of violations.

The declared goods are consumer goods, total weight over 24 tons.
Through physical inspection of the goods, the customs authority discovered that in addition to the goods in accordance with the customs declaration, there were many undeclared goods, including 450 wristwatches suspected of infringing on the intellectual property rights of the Rolex trademark, along with many other general goods (cosmetics, lighters, power banks, bras, car lights, etc.).
At the time of inspection, the enterprise could not present documents related to intellectual property. Therefore, the customs authority coordinated with the representative of the right holder to take samples for examination. The results of the inspection and working with the relevant parties initially determined that the 450 wristwatches were counterfeit Rolex branded goods.
According to the representative of the intellectual property owner, the above shipment is estimated to be worth about 45 billion VND based on the price of genuine goods. The case is currently being processed.
Previously, from June 1 to June 15, customs forces inspected, discovered and arrested 4 similar violations.
The evidence of the violation includes over 5,700 clothing products, handbags, fake sports shoes of many famous brands and many other non-declared goods at customs, including over 700 pairs of sports shoes with fake Adidas and New Balance brands and fake Vietnamese origin.
The cases are currently being processed.
