Valedictorian of Block A00: Female Party member is an excellent student in all aspects and very responsible

(Dan Tri) - Nguyen Thai An, a student with excellent academic performance, a bit shy but very responsible towards everyone, is a shining example of self-study for her classmates to follow.

Those are the sincere comments of teacher Dinh Cao Thuong, homeroom teacher of Nguyen Thai An, a student at Kim Son A High School - the national valedictorian of block A00, in the 2025 high school graduation exam.

Nguyen Thai An shared that after looking up his exam scores and knowing that he got 3 10s in Math, Physics, and Chemistry, he was very happy. With this proud result, An revealed that he will register to study at Hanoi University of Pharmacy - the prestigious school that he has always dreamed of.

"To achieve this result, in addition to studying hard in class, I also focused on studying at home. In the evening, I study from 8pm to 11pm and then take a break so I can continue studying the next day," An confided.

Ms. Vu Thi Phuong, mother of the valedictorian, revealed that her daughter did not attend extra classes much, but mainly studied at school. When at home, she was also very diligent and self-motivated in her studies.

In grade 10, I was the valedictorian, so the principal and teachers paid a lot of attention to me, creating all the learning conditions to achieve high results in the school years.

“My child's 3-point achievement, as well as his high scores in the recent graduation exam, are the result of a serious self-study process and the dedicated support from teachers and the school,” Ms. Phuong confided.

Teacher Dinh Cao Thuong added that Nguyen Thai An is an all-round excellent student in all subjects, especially in natural sciences. In addition to math, physics, and chemistry, An is also good at English. At the end of grade 11 and the beginning of grade 12, An achieved an IELTS English score of 8.0.

“When he entered grade 10, Nguyen Thai An was the valedictorian of his school. During his three years at school, An showed his excellence by excelling in all subjects. He was also always the top student in the school. Therefore, An was selected to join the Party when he was in grade 12,” said Mr. Thuong.

When hearing the news that the little student became the valedictorian of the A00 block nationwide, teachers and friends were very happy. As the homeroom teacher, Mr. Thuong was also very happy and proud of his little student.

The homeroom teacher continued to confide that after finishing the exams, especially the 3 natural subjects (math, physics, chemistry), he and An checked the results of the tests and assessed that they would get 3 perfect 10s.

The joy was truly overwhelming when the exam scores of these 3 subjects were announced and An officially became one of the top students of block A00 nationwide.

Sharing more about Nguyen Thai An's learning process, teacher Dinh Cao Thuong said that An is a student with a very high level of independence. "He is a bit shy but very responsible towards everyone," said teacher Thuong.

In class, An is the class monitor, always paying attention to her classmates. This student's secret to getting perfect scores is to constantly look for difficult problems to solve, often asking teachers about complicated problems, then finding ways to solve them very quickly.

It is known that Nguyen Thai An is the second child in a family of 3 children. This year An is going to university, and his older sister is a student at the medical university in Hanoi. His father is a freelance worker, and his mother is a staff member at a local school.
