Prime Minister commends BIDV for actively eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses

(Chinhphu.vn) - On August 26, at the online conference summarizing the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025", the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) was honored to receive the Prime Minister's commendation and a Certificate of Merit for its active contributions to the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.

BIDV and other units were commended for their meaningful contributions to the work of eliminating temporary housing.

Implementing the policies of the Party, the State and the direction of the Prime Minister and the State Bank, BIDV determined that the implementation of the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025" is an important political task, demonstrating BIDV's responsibility for the country's socio-economic development, improving the quality of life of the people, especially the disadvantaged.

The total budget for implementing programs to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide by BIDV and its organizations and units is more than 260 billion VND. Of which, BIDV contributed 100 billion VND to join the banking industry in supporting 1,000 billion VND for the movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025"; contributed 20 billion VND in response to the launch of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front ; proactively sponsored 125 billion VND to support 28 disadvantaged localities to build 2,155 houses; mobilized more than 35 billion VND from union members and workers to sponsor activities to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, etc.

BIDV's efforts have contributed to the overall results of the movement, actively contributing with the whole country to complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses before August 31; completing the elimination of temporary houses for people with revolutionary contributions before July 27 as required by the Prime Minister. This is a clear demonstration of BIDV's strong commitment and pioneering role in ensuring social security and promoting sustainable development.

With the desire to not leave anyone "behind", over the years, BIDV has devoted a lot of resources and efforts to implementing social security programs, focusing on the following areas: Education; Health; Support to overcome the consequences of natural disasters; Building solidarity houses; Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses; Giving Tet gifts to the poor; gratitude activities... with a budget of hundreds of billions of VND each year.
