School devastated after storm after storm, Ha Tinh 'struggles' to overcome
TPO - Two consecutive storms within a month have affected 167 schools in Ha Tinh. Currently, the authorities are doing their best to support and overcome the consequences.

According to preliminary statistics from the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh, storm No. 10 damaged more than 167 schools in the province, including hundreds of classrooms with blown-off roofs and broken glass doors. Mr. Nguyen Vu Hoan - Principal of Ky Khang 2 Primary School ( Ha Tinh ) said that the impact of storm No. 10 (Bualoi) has caused significant damage to the school's facilities. Although the classrooms and functional rooms are still basically stable, many auxiliary items were severely damaged such as the collapsed roof of the administrative building, damage to two parking lots, collapsed fences and some other auxiliary works. After efforts to overcome the situation, this morning (September 30), students were able to return to school. The corrugated iron roof was knocked down and piled up in the middle of the school yard.
Some schools had their roofs and fences blown off by the storm, causing damage to many books and school supplies.
This is the second storm in Ha Tinh within a month that has caused heavy damage to schools. This morning (September 30), some schools were unable to welcome students back to school after the storm because the roads were flooded. Schools in Ha Tinh are making every effort to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10 with the determination to soon stabilize facilities to maintain teaching and learning activities. Immediately after the storm, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province mobilized armed forces, police, youth unions, teachers and parents to join hands in cleaning and repairing. Some schools in Ha Tinh said that due to the severe damage, many places have applied the "study while repairing" model to avoid disrupting the curriculum.
