From the heroic spirit of historical autumn to the desire to rise up

On September 2, 1945, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. That moment opened the era of national independence associated with socialism, and at the same time affirmed an immutable truth: all power belongs to the people, by the people and for the people. Exactly 80 years since that day, the historic autumn spirit still resonates, the everlasting strength that has led our country and our people through many historical periods.

The Declaration of Independence resounding in Ba Dinh Square not only announced to the world the birth of an independent nation but also a resounding affirmation of the strength of the People, of the truth that “Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom”. Looking back over the past 80 years, our country and people have gone through many historical stages.

From 1945 to 1975, right after the day of independence, our nation had to face the challenge of life and death. Thirty years of protracted resistance against French colonialism and then American imperialism were thirty years of the whole nation turning the oath “Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom” into invincible strength. On every trench, every mountain and river, there were Vietnamese footprints, so that in the spring of 1975, the country was intact and the country was reunited. This was the period that affirmed the steadfastness and indomitable will of a small nation that did not submit to any force.

During the period 1975-1986, the country was at peace and unified but faced countless difficulties. The wounds of war were still bleeding, the people's lives were deprived in every way, and there was also a harsh international embargo. In that hardship, the whole nation united and stood up resiliently, both healing the wounds and finding a way to develop. This period was full of challenges but it fostered the desire for innovation, urging the country's strong transformation.

During the period of innovation and integration, from 1986 to 2025, the 6th National Party Congress initiated a comprehensive innovation process, opening a historic turning point, bringing Vietnam out of the crisis, the economy and society developed strongly, and the country's position was raised. From a poor country, Vietnam has risen to become a leading economy in the region, an attractive investment destination and a dynamic and responsible member of the international community.

In particular, from 2025, an era of striving will open, bringing our country and our people to a new stage with the goal of becoming a developed, high-income country by 2045 - the 100-year milestone of independence. This is the era of creation and aspiration for power, where the intelligence, mettle and strength of national unity will be aroused to realize the dream of a powerful Vietnam, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers.

And in the new era, the immortal spirit of September 2 is being affirmed by concrete actions. That is, building a socialist rule-of-law State of the People, by the People, for the People; administrative reform, building e-government, digital government; expanding direct democracy so that the voice of the People is heard and responded to. That is also the determination to prevent and fight corruption and negativity so that the State apparatus is truly clean, for the common good. The spirit of National Day September 2 is also realized in the goal of creating a country with fast and sustainable development, where every citizen is guaranteed the right to pursue happiness, enjoy the fruits of development, and live in a fair, democratic and civilized society.

Aspiration to rise in the new era

After the merger, Tay Ninh province has an area of ​​over 8,500km² and a population of over 3.1 million people. With its geographical location as a gateway connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Cambodia and connecting the Mekong Delta with the Southeast region, Tay Ninh has become a "strategic bridge" in economic, trade and defense cooperation.

The economy is developing dynamically with a combined GRDP of nearly VND292,000 billion in 2024. The South (former Long An) stands out in industry, services, and logistics; the North (former Tay Ninh) has strengths in high-tech agriculture, border economy, and eco-spiritual tourism. This resonance creates a diverse and complementary economic structure, bringing special competitive advantages.

Tay Ninh is not only strong in economy but also rich in history and culture. From the Southern Central Bureau Base, heroic Dong Thap Muoi to the Cao Dai Holy See, Ba Den Mountain Festival, sweet traditional music together weave a colorful picture, both sacred and rich in identity. In particular, Oc Eo, Champa, Buddhism, Cao Dai, folk beliefs and many cuisines have become the "brands" of this land. That is the foundation for Tay Ninh to develop cultural tourism, services and economy, in harmony with the modern flow of the country.

Along with the whole country, when operating the 2-level local government model, the apparatus will be streamlined, the distance between the government and the people will be shortened, all decisions will originate from real life. That innovation carries the message: all policies must be for the people, rely on the people and be supervised by the people.

In the period from now to 2030, Tay Ninh will shape its development path based on clear strategic directions: promoting high-tech industry and renewable energy to become the "clean energy capital" of the country; developing digital agriculture associated with deep processing to enhance key products such as sugarcane, rubber, vegetables, and medicinal herbs; exploiting the strengths of cultural - spiritual - ecological tourism with Ba Den mountain, Dau Tieng lake, and the system of historical - cultural relics to make Tay Ninh an attractive destination; expanding logistics and border gate infrastructure, taking advantage of its position as an international trade gateway with Cambodia to become a "trade bridge" in the trans-Asian economic corridor chain; at the same time, continuing to pioneer in building digital government and digital society, creating a favorable environment for startups and innovation, improving the quality of public services for people and businesses.

In the general flow of the nation, entering the era of growth, Tay Ninh will develop strongly and sustainably from the foundation of steadfast tradition, with intelligence and mettle./.
