Explore new lands
Busy with her work as a lawyer, Ms. Do Thi Tu Phi (born in 1999, from Tuy Phuoc Bac commune) always proactively arranges time to travel and explore new lands. As someone who is passionate about the beauty of nature and likes to learn about the diverse lifestyles in new lands, Tu Phi proactively hunts for cheap air tickets. After that, she plans her own trip with a reasonable schedule, balancing costs but still ensuring a complete experience.

Tu Phi has made many domestic trips to Da Lat, Hoi An, Hue, Ninh Binh , and several provinces in both the North and the South. Not stopping there, she also expanded her journey of discovery to Singapore, Bali Island (Indonesia)...
Sharing her passion for travel, Ms. Phi said: “I plan, hunt for tickets, and book accommodation myself to be proactive in my journey of discovery. I often look up necessary information on independent travel information sites. In each trip, I prioritize choosing a place to stay near the center for convenient travel, easy integration into daily life, observing people and feeling more clearly the culture of that land.”
“For me, every trip is an opportunity to slow down, listen to myself and broaden my perspective on the world around me. It is also a way for me to recharge my energy, to return to work and life with a light and inspired mind,” Phi added.
The passion for “traveling”, experiencing and discovering new things has urged Dinh Chi Cong (born in 1990, in Quy Nhon Nam ward) to pack his backpack and hit the road during holidays and Tet. He often chooses to travel alone to freely experience and feel the culture and unique characteristics of each region.
From the age of 20 to 28, he set foot in all 63 provinces and cities (old) of Vietnam; conquered many border routes such as the Vietnam - China route, the Vietnam - Laos route and the Vietnam - Cambodia route; explored 7 outpost islands, 4 extreme points of the country, crossed the four legendary mountain passes (Pha Din, Khau Pha, O Quy Ho, Ma Pi Leng) and trekked to conquer 5/10 of the highest mountains in Vietnam...
During his trips, he prioritizes experiencing natural beauty, exploring local markets, enjoying cuisine and sometimes… staying overnight at local people’s homes to get a clearer sense of the local people’s lives. “Experiencing these four elements in all 63 provinces and cities helps me gain a deeper insight into the cultural identity, people and terrain of each place,” he shared.

Not only stopping at observing, Mr. Cong also regularly gives suggestions and "advice" for cultural - tourism development models in some places if he has the opportunity to contact with local people or authorities. According to him, tourism is not only a personal journey, but also an opportunity to connect, share, inspire positive living and spread love for the country.
Previously, due to the nature of his work, he was often assigned to work outside the province, so he took advantage of the weekends to experience it. After getting married in 2022, instead of "traveling alone", he started planning for the whole family to join. From short to long journeys, near to far, he wanted to create opportunities for the whole family to enjoy the peaceful and beautiful moments of life together.
Free and flexible
With the desire to explore new lands in her own way, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Loan (born in 1998, in Quy Nhon ward) and her close friends have organized many independent trips at home and abroad. Not following a fixed tour, the group built their own schedule, booked air tickets, and took the initiative to flexibly change destinations if needed.
“It is important to be financially prepared, have means of transportation, understand the climate and customs of the destination… to make the trip truly complete” - Ms. Loan shared.
Domestic trips are usually planned by the group several months in advance, choosing to go in winter to explore the northern provinces such as Ha Giang, Lang Son, Hoa Binh. After landing in Hanoi, the group rents a self-driving car, finds a homestay and is ready to adjust the itinerary if they discover interesting places on the way.
For trips abroad, the group prepares more carefully, from booking round-trip tickets, homestays, hotels to public transportation, looking up maps to shared wifi devices, all are proactively arranged in advance.

Each member takes on a role such as: scheduler, budgeter, liaison… Items such as power banks, cold medicine, fever reducers, and basic foreign language communication skills are always indispensable.
Recalling an unforgettable memory when arriving at Udo Island (South Korea), Ms. Loan shared: "From Seoul, the group took a domestic flight to Jeju, then continued by ferry to the island. Late that afternoon, when stopping at a small restaurant, the group was surprised by the middle-aged owner's warm greeting in English, "Welcome to Ho Chi Minh" . Although the greeting was not correct, that friendliness made everyone feel warm and proud when introducing themselves as being from Vietnam."
