Deputy Director of Da Nang International Airport (DIA) Le Hoai Nam said that, implementing Decision 19/2020/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, Da Nang International Airport has deployed the installation of a non-stop automatic toll collection system (ETC) and non-cash to prevent congestion, ensure interconnected, synchronous and convenient connection for people and vehicles at the port.

từ ngày 1/7, Cảng HKQT Đà Nẵng sẽ chính thức triển khai hệ thống thu phí tự động không dừng (ETC).

From July 1, Da Nang International Airport will officially deploy the automatic non-stop toll collection system (ETC).

Up to now, the equipment installation and trial operation have been completed, ready to switch to exploiting the new system for all lanes at the toll station. Starting from July 1, Da Nang International Airport will officially deploy the automatic non-stop toll collection system (ETC) and cashless toll collection at the two toll stations on Nguyen Van Linh and Duy Tan streets.

Accordingly, at Nguyen Van Linh toll station, lanes 1-2 are mixed lanes (accepting cash, non-cash and ETC); lanes 3-4 are automatic lanes (ETC or non-cash payment). At Duy Tan toll station, lane 5 is mixed lane; lanes 6-7 are automatic lanes.

Payment methods at automatic lanes include valid ETC cards (VETC e-Tag or VDTC ePass); QR codes (via e-wallets or banking applications); NAPAS domestic cards (tap to pay, no need to enter PIN).

To use the automatic lane, drivers need to ensure that their vehicle has a valid ETC tag and their ETC account has sufficient balance. In case of ineligibility, they can choose to pay by QR code or domestic payment card via POS machine (no PIN required) installed at each exit lane.

Da Nang International Airport requests taxi associations, passenger transport businesses, travel agencies... to proactively disseminate information to each driver and vehicle owner within their management scope; deploy ETC tagging for vehicles within the unit; fully comply with the instructions of toll collectors, aviation security and authorities when passing through toll stations to ensure safety and smooth traffic.

According to Mr. Le Hoai Nam, the official operation of the ETC system by Da Nang International Airport aims to modernize service infrastructure, bringing a smarter and more convenient experience to all passengers and partners. At the same time, it accompanies the journey of modernizing Da Nang city's transportation.

This is also one of the specific steps of Da Nang International Airport in digital transformation towards the goal of minimizing congestion, reducing CO2 emissions, making toll collection processes transparent and creating maximum convenience for vehicles entering and leaving the airport, especially during the peak summer tourist season of 2025.

Da Nang International Airport encourages vehicle owners and drivers to proactively stick ETC tags and increase the use of automatic toll lanes to shorten waiting time, limit contact, and contribute to building a civilized - modern - cashless traffic environment at the airport.
