Great opportunity for Khanh Hoa to become a comprehensive green destination of the world

On September 11, in Nha Trang, Tuoi Tre Newspaper and Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a workshop "To make Khanh Hoa a comprehensive green destination of the world".

This is a communication route within the framework of the Green Vietnam 2025 project, initiated by Tuoi Tre newspaper and the Vietnam Packaging Recycling Alliance, in coordination with the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa and accompanying units.

Attending the workshop, on the Central leadership side, there was Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh - Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

On the side of Khanh Hoa province, there were Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Long Bien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of departments, branches, business associations and localities.

On the guest side, there were Mr. Nguyen Si Tuan - former Director of the Institute of Oceanography; Master of Architecture Tran Duc Phi - member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association; Vice President of the Khanh Hoa Architects Association; Mr. Le Thanh - Chairman of the Board of Management of the Green Economics Institute; Master of Science Vo Tran Hai Linh, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Pacific University.

Master Huynh Ho Dai Nghia - Faculty of International Relations - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Pham Minh Duc - Operation Director of Green Central SM Vietnam Market; Mr. Dinh Xuan Thuy - Deputy Director of Commerce, Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company.

Representatives of La Viet Coffee, Hoang Kim Bird's Nest, Green Leaf Garden, Chappi Coffee, TTC Agris, Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest, Cocoons Cosmetics, Dutch Lady Milk, Khang Bird's Nest, Tam Phan Ba Ninh Tea, D&T Group, representatives of Vietnam Packaging Recycling Alliance.

On the organizing committee side, there were Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province; journalist Tran Xuan Toan - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper - Head of the Organizing Committee of the Green Vietnam project.

The program consists of 2 parts, including Green Experience Day activities and the Workshop "To make Khanh Hoa a comprehensive green destination of the world".

The workshop opened with a series of valuable information presentations from speakers, focusing on the potential, policies and international experiences to help Khanh Hoa become a leading green destination in the region and the world.

In addition to the presentations, the workshop had two open discussion sessions and roundtable discussions on the topic: Advice for Khanh Hoa Tourism to develop green and sustainably, focusing on the contents of the Green Tourism Standards for locations and accommodation facilities, aiming for 80% to achieve the green label by 2030...

Khanh Hoa is facing a great opportunity to become a comprehensive green destination of the world.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the workshop, journalist Tran Xuan Toan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper, shared the Green Vietnam program initiated by Tuoi Tre Newspaper from 2022.

"Bringing the program to Khanh Hoa, we see that Khanh Hoa is facing a great opportunity, with the world's top beautiful coastline and very special coastal forests. Therefore, we chose Khanh Hoa to organize the workshop "To make Khanh Hoa a comprehensive green destination of the world"", journalist Tran Xuan Toan shared.

According to him, when talking about green Khanh Hoa, we need to look at other cities such as Singapore, Bali (Indonesia) or Costa Rica in Central America with the garden model in the city. He emphasized the pillars to develop a green city, a green destination: "We need to see green development in addition to green living, there is also green infrastructure, green energy, green finance and green human resources".

Through the workshop, the organizers hope to receive many contributions from experts and activists so that Khanh Hoa can soon achieve the goal of becoming a comprehensive green destination in the world.
