The 4th season of Trang An Marathon has become a major annual sports and cultural festival in Ninh Binh, contributing to attracting and developing the local sports and tourism movement. In particular, participating athletes have the opportunity to experience and admire the space with rich cultural and historical values, and explore the world cultural and natural heritage of Trang An on each route.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Binh province, said: "The award is one of the activities to celebrate the 3rd Ninh Binh Festival in 2024 and has helped connect and spread the values ​​of national cultural heritage in the ancient capital of Hoa Lu to people at home and abroad".

Exciting event at Trang An Marathon 2024, with up to 5,000 athletes participating

The race welcomed more than 5,000 athletes competing in 4 distances: marathon (42.195 km), half marathon (21.0975 km), exploring heritage land (10 km) and experiencing heritage running (5 km).

The final results recorded athlete Kabashima Kento (Japan) as champion in the men's marathon (42.195 km) and won the race record award with a time of 2 hours 38 minutes 22 seconds. In the women's event, athlete Nguyen Thi Tra Giang was champion with a time of 3 hours 0 minutes 41 seconds.

In addition, Nguyen Thuy Trang and Hoang Cuong won first place in the 5km race. In the 10km race, first place went to Mai Thi Bao Yen and Vu Hai Toan. In the 21km race, first place went to Doan Oanh and Trinh Dinh An.
