Vietnam has 2 cities in the top safe cities for solo travel

The world- famous travel magazine praised Da Nang as “the best place for a casual coastal holiday” while Hanoi is ideal for its “simple vibes”.

Da Nang , ranked 3rd on the list, is famous for its Son Tra Peninsula, which has a beautiful long coastline, with a series of hotels offering beach views with large windows, balconies and infinity pools.

The Australian-based magazine said solo travelers on a budget need not worry as the average room rate here is 1 million VND. From Da Nang, visitors can easily visit the ancient town of Hoi An, a 30-minute drive away, and the city of Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam.

Number 6 on the list is Hanoi. Solo travelers should explore the Old Quarter, a colorful maze of narrow streets lined with shops and street food stalls.

Lonely Planet suggests visitors stop at one of the cafes and order a cup of coffee while watching the street.

In particular, the magazine commented that Vietnamese people are very hospitable, so tourists should not be too surprised to see young people starting conversations to practice communicating in English.

Top ideal destinations in Southeast Asia for solo travelers include Singapore, Penang (Malaysia), Siem Reap (Cambodia), Bangkok (Thailand) and Bali (Indonesia).
