Student beating case with electric wire: Change homeroom teacher, consider disciplining the teacher

(Dan Tri) - Regarding the case of a female teacher in Dak Lak beating a 5th grade student with an electric wire, the school changed the homeroom teacher and temporarily suspended teaching with a female teacher to clarify the incident.

On February 28, information from the Department of Education and Training of Buon Ma Thuot City (Dak Lak), the unit sent a report to the City People's Committee about a female teacher of Ly Tu Trong Primary School being reported to have abused students.

After receiving information on social networks reflecting on teachers at Ly Tu Trong Primary School, the Department of Education and Training of Buon Ma Thuot City directed the school leaders to report.

The school report determined that Ms. BTTX (homeroom teacher of class 5D) used a damaged wire sheath (with the copper core removed) to hit students, used a blackboard eraser to threaten them, and asked students to prepare a crumpled piece of paper, which they would put in their mouths whenever they wanted to talk. There is no basis for determining the remaining contents.

Ly Tu Trong Primary School has temporarily suspended Ms. X. from teaching. As for the position of homeroom teacher of class 5D, the school has assigned someone else to be in charge until the end of the school year.

At the same time, Ms. X. was asked to make a report of the incident and continue to verify and determine the level of violation for handling according to regulations. In addition, the school leaders met with the parents of the students of class 5D to discuss the incident of the class.

As Dan Tri reported, on February 26, on Facebook, a photo of a child with marks on his body was posted, along with a complaint about a teacher using an electric baton to beat him, stuffing a towel into his mouth, and other things.

Through working with the school, Ms. X. admitted that she used a stripped copper wire to beat the students instead of a ruler and hoped that the students and parents would forgive her for her actions.

Ms. X. also threatened to stuff a towel into a student's mouth but has not yet done so. The school is still investigating other complaints from parents.
