Building the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics as a typical Party Committee

The 15th Congress of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics determined the tasks of development, capacity building, and building a clean and strong Party.

On August 11, in Hanoi, the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics solemnly held the 15th Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a flower basket to congratulate the Congress.

Member of the Politburo , Standing member of the Secretariat, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Party agencies Tran Cam Tu attended and delivered a speech directing the Congress.

Also attending were Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission Le Minh Hung; Politburo member, Party Committee Secretary, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang; Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and a number of Party Central Committee members, leaders of central committees and agencies, leaders and former leaders of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

The congress was attended by 200 delegates representing more than 3,600 party members in the Party Committee.

Speaking at the Congress, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Party agencies Tran Cam Tu praised and acknowledged the comprehensive achievements and results that the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics has achieved in the past term, notably the achievements in training and fostering cadres; research and development of theory and policy advice; protecting the Party's ideological foundation; compiling, propagating and educating Party history; improving the effectiveness of cooperation and theoretical exchange with communist parties and ruling parties in the world, Party building and streamlining the apparatus in the spirit of efficiency - effectiveness - effectiveness.

Emphasizing and pointing out the key tasks of the Party Committee of the Academy in the coming term, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu said: The new development era of the country sets new, higher requirements for theoretical research and training and fostering of cadres, requiring the Academy to shoulder greater, heavier responsibilities.

In order for the Party Committee of the Academy to successfully lead and complete its tasks in the coming term, the Standing Secretariat recommends that the Party Committee of the Academy should: Continue to focus on building a truly clean and strong Party Committee of the Academy, a typical and model Party Committee among the Party Committees of the Central Party agencies.

Take care to preserve and strengthen solidarity and unity within the Party Committee, considering this the foundation and source of strength and fighting power, and the decisive factor for the leadership effectiveness of the Academy Party Committee.

Promote the leadership role of the Party Committee of the Academy in implementing the Development Strategy of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to 2030 and vision to 2045 approved by the Politburo; take care to build a team of cadres, party members, and lecturers who are truly exemplary in all aspects, sharp in theory, deep in expertise, close to practice, proficient in applying digital technology, and capable of working in an internationally integrated environment.

The Academy strengthens close coordination with departments, ministries, branches, localities, agencies and units in all aspects of work. In addition to promoting advisory activities for the Party, State, National Assembly and Government on guidelines, policies and strategies, the Academy needs to specifically and directly participate in research activities and policy consulting for major socio-economic programs of the Party, State, Government, departments, ministries and branches at the central and local levels. This needs to be identified as an important practical activity of the Academy in the new period. Promote investment and modernization of technical facilities.

The Standing Secretariat believes that with the spirit of solidarity and high political responsibility, the Congress will democratically and wisely select comrades who meet the standards of political qualities, capacity and qualifications to shoulder the important responsibilities assigned by the Party Committee of the Academy; believes that with the spirit of "Solidarity-Democracy-Discipline-Breakthrough-Development", the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics will lead the Academy to continuously develop, excellently complete all tasks entrusted by the Party, State and people, worthy of being the Party School named after beloved Uncle Ho.

At the Congress, on behalf of the Party Committee of the Central Party agencies, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Party agencies Tran Cam Tu awarded the "Emulation Flag to Party organizations with outstanding achievements in Party building work, term 2020-2025" to the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

Speaking at the Congress, Politburo member, Party Secretary, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang said that in the past term, with high political determination, the Party Committee of the Academy has promoted the glorious tradition of solidarity and unity, strived to overcome all difficulties, achieved very important and outstanding results; created new steps of development for the Academy, its position and prestige have been increasingly enhanced, continuing to make great contributions to the cause of national construction, development and defense.

In particular, implementing Decision No. 214-QD/TW dated December 28, 2024 of the Politburo on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Academy was supplemented with many new functions and tasks after receiving the Central Theoretical Council, the Central Council of Theory and Criticism of Literature and Arts, the Scientific Council of Central Party Agencies and merging with the National Academy of Public Administration.

The current Party Committee of the Academy includes Party Committees and Party Cells organized and operated in association with the new organizational structure, including 9 functional units, 16 research-teaching-information-publishing institutes and 6 affiliated academies.

At the Congress, delegates summarized the implementation of the Resolution of the Academy Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, on that basis, determined the directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term; discussed and contributed comments on the draft Political Report, the draft Report reviewing the leadership of the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, discussed and approved the draft Report synthesizing comments on documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress and the draft Political Report submitted to the 1st Congress of Party Delegates of Central Party Agencies for the 2025-2030 term.

Promoting the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, unity, objectivity and impartiality, delegates attending the Congress voted to elect the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, term XV, 2025-2030, consisting of 32 comrades.

At the first meeting of the same day, the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, 15th term, 2025-2030, elected a Standing Committee of 11 comrades.

During the working session on the same afternoon, the Congress elected a delegation of delegates to attend the 1st Congress of Party Committees of Central Party Agencies and passed the Resolution of the 15th Congress of Party Committees of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, term 2025-2030.
