Passenger bus encroached on lane, blocking truck on highway

On the afternoon of June 22, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 1 (Team 1, Road Traffic Control Patrol Guidance Department, Traffic Police Department) said that the unit is verifying a video recording a scene of a passenger bus encroaching on the lane and blocking the front of a truck on the highway; the truck driver was assaulted.

Accordingly, the video was recorded by a truck's dashcam, showing a passenger bus with a Lao Cai license plate continuously encroaching on the opposite lane and weaving in and out. The location of the incident was a two-lane highway with a solid line prohibiting overtaking.

After a long journey, the passenger bus stopped and blocked the road. At the same time, three men got out of the bus, carrying long sticks, and approached the truck cabin and assaulted the driver. Although the truck driver had backed into the cabin, he was still dragged out, cursed, and beaten.

Through initial verification, the incident occurred at around 9:23 a.m. on June 22 at Km 216 of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway. The two vehicles involved in the incident were a passenger bus with license plate 24B-009.19 and a truck with license plate 24C-051.65.

Currently, Team 1 is coordinating with Bao Thang District Police (Lao Cai) to clarify the case and will strictly handle it according to regulations.
