142 businesses from 25 countries came to learn and connect with Tay Ninh

Many presentations on distribution systems, imports, logistics, e-commerce, etc. were presented by representatives of international corporations at the conference, opening up opportunities for learning, investment, and cooperation between Tay Ninh and other countries.

On the morning of September 6, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province coordinated with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to organize a conference on connecting the supply chain of import-export goods and e-commerce in Tay Ninh province in 2025 at Thong Nhat hall of Tay Ninh province ( Long An ward, Tay Ninh).

Ms. Phan Thi Thang - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade - together with Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet - Secretary of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Mr. Nguyen Van Ut - Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee chaired the conference.

The conference was attended by nearly 600 delegates, including agencies under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, diplomatic agencies, departments and branches of Tay Ninh province, foreign business associations, large transnational distribution corporations such as Central Retail, Aeon, Walmart, Lulu, Amazon, Coppel, Alibaba...

Along with 142 foreign enterprises from 25 countries and territories (United States, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Singapore, India, Cambodia, Pakistan, Senegal, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UK, France, Netherlands, Austria, Spain, Poland, Switzerland, Sweden, Latvia, Mexico), 120 enterprises in Tay Ninh province.

During the conference break, Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam - visited and met with Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut. The two sides discussed investment opportunities of Thai enterprises in Tay Ninh, as well as the export of Tay Ninh enterprises to Thailand. In his welcome speech at the conference, Mr. Quyet said that Tay Ninh province currently has great potential with expanded development space, becoming a new growth pole, linking development between the Southeast region and the Southwest region, especially connecting the two economies of Vietnam and Cambodia.

Currently, the province is researching the construction and formation of trade centers, connecting trade, tourism and international cooperation.

"Through the conference, we hope that the Ministry of Industry and Trade, diplomatic agencies, trade promotion organizations and the business community will continue to pay attention and support Tay Ninh to develop more strongly, towards the goal of cooperation for mutual development and mutual victory," Mr. Quyet expressed.

At the conference, the Director of the Foreign Market Development Department, the Deputy Director of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, and the Vietnamese Trade Counselor in Sweden, China, the UAE, and Japan pointed out export opportunities and challenges, updated market information and trends, and recommended market approach methods for countries.

Besides, there were presentations from more than ten domestic and foreign enterprises on distribution systems, imports, logistics, e-commerce, etc. for delegates to discuss, ask questions, and learn from each other.

The conference also witnessed 8 memorandums of understanding between the Tay Ninh Department of Industry and Trade and the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Central Retail Group, Alibaba Group; Tay Ninh Provincial Business Association and Vietnam Garment Export Company with Lulu Group, Vietnam Business Association in Japan, Indian Business Association in Vietnam; Long An International Port and Portland Port in the United States, and Gotheburn Port in Sweden.

The economic scale of Tay Ninh province in 2025 is estimated to reach over 352,000 billion VND, GRDP growth rate is estimated at 9.3%, among the 10 localities with the largest economic scale in the country.

To date, the province has over 37,000 operating enterprises with a total registered capital of over VND912,000 billion, more than 3,000 DDI projects with a capital of nearly VND689,000 billion, and 1,892 FDI projects with a total capital of over USD24 billion.

Currently, the province has 46 industrial parks and 50 industrial clusters with an area of ​​over 17,000 hectares, of which more than 1,000 hectares of clean land are ready to receive investors.

Some key products of the province continue to achieve many positive results: textile and garment exports 4.3 billion USD/year, footwear 2 billion USD/year, equipment, spare parts, mechanics, iron and steel 1.6 billion USD/year, agricultural and aquatic products (rice, dragon fruit, banana, seedless lemon, durian, jackfruit, seafood, coffee...) 1.5 million USD/year, goods of enterprises in the province are exported to 130 countries and territories around the world.
