Throughout the journey of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people, poetry has always been the voice of the national soul, silent but strong, simple but profound. Revolutionary poetry is a powerful source, carrying within it ideals, beliefs and aspirations for independence and freedom. Revolutionary poetry, especially verses written from the trenches, from the hearts of soldiers, have created a poetry that bears the shape of the country. Poets and musicians do not stand outside the war but are real soldiers, holding guns to protect the Fatherland and holding pens to record pages of history with poetry and music.

According to Colonel, writer Nguyen Binh Phuong, Vice President of the Vietnam Writers Association , Editor-in-Chief of the Army Literature Magazine, after more than eight decades of building, fighting and growing, the Vietnam People's Army is not only a fighting army, a working army but also an army of artistic creation. In that team, military artists in general and poets in soldier uniforms in particular have been present in all regions of the Fatherland, from the difficult borderlands to the fierce battlefields, to write immortal heroic songs about soldiers, about the Fatherland, about the people.

Carrying sincere emotions and noble ideals, the poet has portrayed the image of the country through each verse, which is both authentic, heroic, profound and sacred. These are works of art that simultaneously create historical marks through poetry, contributing to further glorifying the glorious tradition and noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in wartime as well as in peacetime.
