3-year journey of collecting "treasures"
“Treasure” was formed from a series of photo contests organized by the District Party Committee, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son Tra District (now Son Tra Ward) for three consecutive years. Thousands of submitted works contributed to building a rich archive of documents, from which the organizing committee selected the best photos to compile into a large-scale book rich in artistic and scientific value.

Each photo in the book is a vivid slice of Son Tra. From the majestic natural scenery filled with cool flowers, the fresh breath of the old forest, the rhythm of the ocean to the wild moments of birds and insects. That harmonious combination brings emotional depth, touches the hearts of domestic readers and opens up opportunities to spread to international friends.

It is not by chance that Son Tra was chosen as the soul of “Treasure”. The peninsula has long been considered the “green lung” of Da Nang, a shield protecting the city from natural disasters, and at the same time a common home to hundreds of rare species of animals and plants. In particular, this place has the red-shanked douc langur – a primate known as the “queen of primates”. Therefore, each page of the book carries a message reminding us of the responsibility to preserve this priceless natural heritage for future generations.
From Son Tra to far away…
Sharing about the implementation process, Mr. Hoang Son Tra, Chairman of Son Tra Ward People's Committee, said: "We just want to bring the beautiful image of Son Tra Peninsula to everyone. It is a treasure not only of Da Nang, of Vietnam but also of the world ." According to him, the journey from launching the contest to publishing the book lasted three years, the result of collective efforts and passion for nature.

In particular, “Treasure” is not a stopping point but the beginning of many following projects. In the near future, Son Tra ward plans to publish the book From Son Tra Sea to Tra Leng Mountain , aiming to connect the beauty of the sea and mountains between the two twinned localities. At the same time, the Son Tra – Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter project is also being nurtured, with the goal of depicting Son Tra’s landscape through the four seasons, expected to take three years to complete.

The birth of Treasure not only affirms the community's strength in preserving and promoting the image of Da Nang, but also opens a new direction: using art as a bridge, using love of nature as a message to spread. With its artistic value and humanistic meaning, the book deserves to become a meaningful spiritual gift for all those who love nature, love the country, and desire to preserve the "treasure" of nature for future generations.
