The Politburo works with the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee

On September 8, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam chaired a working session of the Politburo with the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee, giving opinions on the draft documents and personnel plan to be submitted to the 8th Congress of Delegates of the Central Public Security Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

Attending the conference were representatives of the Central Party Committees; the Central Party Office; the Central Military Commission; the 14th Party Congress Document Subcommittee; the National Assembly 's Committee on National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs. ; Party Committees of the Ministries: Foreign Affairs , Finance.

At the working session, after listening to the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee report on the preparation work for the 8th Congress of the Central Public Security Party Committee, term 2025-2030, the Politburo commended the active, proactive, thorough and serious preparation of the Central Public Security Party Committee; assessed the content of the draft documents and personnel plans which were built with a tight and scientific basic structure, closely following the requirements of Directive No. 45-CT/TW, dated April 14, 2025 of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party and Instruction No. 32-HD/TBVK, dated June 11, 2025 of the Document Subcommittee of the 14th National Party Congress.

The Politburo acknowledged that the political report was carefully prepared, serious, objective, comprehensive, scientific, comprehensively and accurately assessing the implementation of the congress resolution of the past term, clearly pointing out the advantages, shortcomings, limitations, causes of limitations and lessons learned; clearly identifying the directions, goals and 3 groups of targets on professional work, security industry and digital transformation, logistics, force building and foreign affairs.

The political report also clearly stated 8 key tasks and 3 strategic breakthroughs of the Central Party Committee of Public Security for the 2025-2030 term, ensuring inheritance and innovation to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots party organizations; comprehensively innovate public security work; maintain national security; build order, discipline, safety and health, contributing to bringing the country into a new era, contributing to international peace and security.

The Politburo unanimously evaluated and reported on the review of the leadership and direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee, term VII, 2020-2025, which seriously reviewed the leadership and direction in all aspects of work, frankly assessed the advantages, limitations, shortcomings and causes of the limitations and shortcomings; made a general assessment and proposed directions including 4 measures close to the practical situation, with high feasibility to overcome limitations and shortcomings in the coming term.

The Draft Resolution of the 8th Congress of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security for the 2025-2030 term closely followed the assessment of the situation and results of the 2020-2025 term and the directions, goals, tasks, solutions, and strategic breakthroughs in the 2025-2030 term; fully reflected the main contents of the political report, which is a very important basis for completing the action program and developing an implementation plan for the coming term.

The draft Action Program of the Central Public Security Party Committee to implement the Resolution of the 8th Congress of Delegates of the Central Public Security Party Committee, term 2025-2030, clearly stated the purpose, requirements, concretized 8 key tasks of the Central Public Security Party Committee for the term 2025-2030 and the close organization and implementation to ensure the successful implementation of the resolution.

The Politburo agreed with the plan to organize the 8th Congress of the Central Public Security Party Committee as determined by the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee.

Based on the conclusion of the conference, the Politburo requested the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee to absorb the comments to complete the content of the documents and personnel work of the congress; lead and direct all preparatory work well; organize the 8th Central Public Security Party Congress, term 2025-2030 successfully, truly exemplary and typical.
