This is to implement the goal of the Project on developing a system of excellent training centers and talents in technology 4.0 by 2030 according to Decision 374/QD-TTg dated February 19, 2025 approved by the Prime Minister .

The objective of the Project is to form at least 1 or 2 networks of excellent and talented training centers in each priority technology field of Industry 4.0. Particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence, semiconductor industry and biotechnology, at least 2 or 3 networks of centers will be formed in the three regions of North - Central - South. Each network is led by a strong higher education institution, with at least 5 higher education institutions and a number of domestic and foreign enterprises participating.

Each network organizes at least one excellent program on adaptive training, retraining, advanced training, and specialized training for human resource development in a number of priority technology fields of Industry 4.0.

Each network is expected to attract at least 100 talented scientists and experts, including overseas Vietnamese and international experts, to participate in teaching and scientific research in higher education institutions in Vietnam.

Recently, the Ministry of Education and Training has selected 13 higher education institutions to lead training centers of excellence and technological talent in 9 fields. These are considered the core of the network.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long, Principal of the University of Transport Technology - one of 13 training centers, said that in recent times, the school has established a large-scale network of 12 prestigious universities (Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, University of Science and Technology - University of Danang, University of Transport, Can Tho University, Hanoi University of Architecture, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education,...), 2 specialized research institutes, enterprises in the fields of technology, construction and transportation (Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group - VNPT, Vietnam Railways Corporation, FECON Joint Stock Company,...) and agencies under the Ministry of Construction and localities with practical application needs.

According to Mr. Long, in the coming time, the school will preside over and coordinate with units in the network to design excellent and talented training programs, integrate artificial intelligence, big data, new material technology and green energy into the curriculum and teaching programs; implement research programs, technology transfer, international publications; build and invest in advanced laboratories, simulations, open innovation centers, connecting practice - technology - invention right in training and research activities.
