Ba Den Mountain, the highest mountain in the Southeast region (986 m). The mountain is located 12 km northeast of Tay Ninh city center (110 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City). This is the number one tourist attraction in Tay Ninh province.
The scenery at the foot of Ba Den mountain recently makes anyone passing by amazed by the peaceful beauty of Khe Dol rice field (Khe Dol hamlet, Thanh Tan commune, Tay Ninh city).
This field stretches along the north side of the foot of Ba Den Mountain and Heo Mountain. The color of Khe Dol rice field changes with each season.
If you go from Tay Ninh city, follow Highway 22B towards Tan Chau district, just past Ba Den mountain, turn the corner and you will reach the immense rice fields, that is Khe Dol field.
The field has a rare feature, which is that it is blocked from east to west by the Great Wall of Ba Mountain and Heo Mountain, so from both ends of the mountain the wind blows into the field all year round. That is why the Khmer people who have lived here for a long time named it Khe Dol, which in Khmer means wind.
In previous years, Khe Dol field also attracted many young people to check-in during the reed flower season.
In the middle of the field there are a few houses of people living, creating a peaceful, quiet countryside scene.
In this Khe Dol field, there are many palm trees, sugar palm trees, tamarind trees… with many beautiful shapes. The palm trees, which are dozens of years old, not only provide shade for workers to rest, but also provide delicious soft drinks (from the fruit).
Khe Dol field is divided into small plots, most of which are farmed by a Khmer family.
Compared to many other places, this field is not large, but thanks to its inherent peace and Ba Den mountain, Khe Dol has a unique beauty.
