It's unclear whether Mr. Altman is referring to the new ChatGPT 4o update, or the update the AI ​​startup mentioned on January 29.

Mr. Altman's comments about GPT 4o's search capabilities came in a conversation with colleague Aravind Srinivas, founder and CEO of Perplexity, an AI startup focused on search.

Srinivas, who previously worked at OpenAI, responded to Altman's post about the GPT 4o update, saying: "Sorry, what update is that?" Mr. Altman replied: "among other things, it's the best search product on the web," and suggested that his colleague Srinivas "try it out."
