Intervision 2025 Competition: Singer Duc Phuc aims to touch the audience's emotions

On the night of September 20, the international music competition Intervision 2025 will take place at the Live Arena stage in Moscow, the capital of the Russian Federation.

This year, Vietnam has its first representative participating in the contest with young singer Duc Phuc.

Right before the Intervision 2025 competition night, singer Duc Phuc had an exchange session at the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation.

After sharing about the role of cultural bridge as well as the importance of culture in diplomacy , Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi gave the delegation members typical Russian souvenirs as the best wishes for the upcoming competition night.

At Intervision 2025, Duc Phuc is among the singers with the least experience. Although he is a very famous name among Vietnamese youth today, to come to a large playground like Intervision, contestants need to meet many other criteria.

According to Mr. Ha Minh Thang, Deputy Director of the Department of Performing Arts of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the contest requires contestants to have outstanding and representative voices, and to have won a championship in Vietnam. The second criterion is to have style. And the third criterion, which the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism pays close attention to, is that contestants must be hard-working, responsible, and wholeheartedly devoted to the contest.

Identifying the contest as a rare opportunity, Duc Phuc commissioned musician Ho Hoai Anh to compose the song "Phu Dong Thien Vuong" inspired by the poem "Vietnamese Bamboo" by poet Nguyen Duy.

According to Duc Phuc, the song "Phu Dong Thien Vuong" is a Vietnamese song and will be performed on a stage with a completely Vietnamese feel.

Intervision is a competition that emphasizes identity, from the language of the songs to the performance costumes of the contestants. In addition, universal values in the content are also what the organizers desire.

The lyrics of "Phu Dong Thien Vuong" are heroic, full of great ambition, steadfast and determined, like the Vietnamese bamboo trees, like the Vietnamese people who have overcome all difficulties for thousands of years, firmly conquering challenges. Although the song is in Vietnamese, the music and powerful voice of Duc Phuc will fully convey the spirit of the song to the listeners.

At the recording session, Duc Phuc received many compliments and endless applause.

All details and images of the competition are kept confidential so that the audience can have the most complete experience during the competition night. 23 contestants representing 23 countries will conquer the jury, which are famous cultural and artistic activists from the countries participating in the competition.

The Vietnamese representative on the jury is musician Trong Dai. The musician said that there are many scoring criteria, but the most important is whether the work touches the emotions or not. Interestingly, the scoring criteria for works of art were devised by a mathematician to eliminate or minimize emotional or biased factors.

After a 30-year hiatus, Intervision 2025 has been heavily invested in to make a truly great comeback. The audience is promised to enjoy a special "party" of music and art, but this will also be a great pressure for the contestants, especially when Vietnam has contestants participating for the first time.

Lucky and proud to represent Vietnam in the international music "arena", Duc Phuc brings with him full determination to bring to foreign audiences as well as audiences in Vietnam the most impressive, explosive and emotional stage./.
