Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics considers V-SAT exam results for admission

(NLDO)- In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics will enroll 7,980 students, an increase of 80 students compared to 2024.

On the afternoon of February 14, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics announced university enrollment information for the year 2025.

Information said that this year the school opened 3 new majors including: Data Analysis, Sustainable Business and Environmental Management, International Human Resource Training Program in Finance - Banking.

This year, the school uses 5 admission methods (1 method less than in 2024), including:

Method 1: Direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training;

Method 2 : Consider candidates who graduated from foreign high school programs and have international certificates, quota 2%;

A) For candidates with Vietnamese nationality, belonging to one of the following categories:

(1) Candidates have one of the following international baccalaureate/certificates:

- International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma with a score of 26 or higher;

- International certificate of Cambridge International Examinations A-Level, UK (hereinafter referred to as A-Level certificate) from C to A.

- BTEC (Business & Technical Education Council) Level 3 Extended Diploma with grades from C to A.

(2) Candidates who graduated from a foreign high school program and have one of the following certificates:

- IELTS certificate from 6.0 or higher.

- TOEFL iBT certificate from 73 points or higher.

- SAT certificate (Scholastic Assessment Test, USA) each test section from 500 points or higher.

- ACT (American College Testing) certificate from 20 points (36-point scale) or higher.

B) For candidates with a nationality other than Vietnamese nationality (Laos, Cambodia, Thailand...) and graduated from high school abroad (abbreviated as foreign candidates):

- Foreign candidates applying for a program in English must meet the English language requirements of that program.

- Foreign candidates registering to study programs in Vietnamese must meet the Vietnamese language requirements according to current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Note: The validity of international certificates is calculated from the date of application submission.

Method 3 : Consider candidates with good academic results, quota 40%-50%

Admission scores are converted from the following 5 criteria, of which 1 is mandatory and 4 are optional:

- Required criteria: Average score of the registered subject group calculated by grade 10, grade 11 and grade 12 from 6.5 or higher.

- Optional criteria:

+ Students have a valid international English certificate (as of the application date) equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 73 or higher.

+ Students who won prizes (First, Second, Third) in the provincial and city level (centrally affiliated) high school excellent student selection exams in the subjects: Math, Physics, Chemistry, English, Literature, Information Technology, History.

+ Students awarded/titled (academic ranking) in grades 10, 11, 12 are excellent students, good students.

+ Students of specialized/gifted high schools.

Method 4 : Admission based on the results of the HCM City National University's capacity assessment test, the results of the V-SAT exam (only applicable to Vinh Long branch and organized by Can Tho University in 2025) combined with international English proficiency, quota 10%-20%

- Conditions: Candidates taking the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment exam (KSA, KSV), taking the V-SAT university entrance assessment exam organized by Can Tho University in 2025 ( for KSV).

- Admission score according to UEH's prescribed scale for each program, is the total score converted from the following 2 criteria, of which 1 is mandatory and 1 is not mandatory:

+ Required criteria: Test scores of candidates taking the V-SAT university entrance exam or the Ho Chi Minh City National University's aptitude test in 2025.

+ Optional criteria: Students must have a valid international English certificate (as of the application date) equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 73 or higher.

Method 5 : Admission based on high school graduation exam results, remaining quota.

Consider candidates for the 2025 high school graduation exam, including the results of the subjects according to the UEH admission combination, high school graduation or equivalent according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
