On normal days, the shop will open until 11-24 pm, but on Christmas Eve it will close 2-3 hours later, until the customers are gone ."

Some cafes with balcony views facing the Cathedral are expected to see an explosion in customers, especially tables on high floors that can see all the activities below, which will soon be sold out. However, the cafe will not charge any extra fees or require customers to book a table in advance. " Customers who arrive first will be able to choose their seats first, and if the cafe runs out of tables, customers will be served take-out food, " said an employee.

Street food stalls are also expected to operate throughout Christmas Eve. While busy sorting vegetables, an employee of a restaurant on Hang Hanh Street said: " We usually only sell until 10pm, but that day we will sell until all customers run out. Not to mention the number of customers will be many times higher than usual, so we have to import a lot of ingredients and double the number of workers. Closer to that day, we also have to prepare some dishes in advance to serve them in time. Because dishes cannot be served quickly ."

The manager of the Nhau Tu Do restaurant chain said that in preparation for Christmas Eve, the restaurants in the system have all decorated beautifully, helping customers have the best Christmas atmosphere experience while dining.

" We have prepared staff as well as enough materials to ensure the best service on Christmas Eve. The store is expected to open until about 24 hours, which is also a quite comfortable time because usually after dinner, customers will move to many other places to celebrate Christmas such as the walking street and the Cathedral, " he said.

Even shops not located in the city center are determined to operate throughout Christmas Eve. The owner of a coffee shop in Duong Noi urban area (Ha Dong district) said: " Many people want to avoid traffic jams and choose cafes with many beautifully decorated spaces to have fun and take pictures. Therefore, the shop is also ready to close late on Christmas Day ."
