iPhone 17 Pro Max price increases by millions even though it hasn't been released yet

(Dan Tri) - On September 19, the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air product lines will be delivered to Vietnamese users. Although not yet on shelves, the iPhone 17 Pro Max has been pushed up in price on the black market.

According to Dan Tri reporters, the cosmic orange iPhone 17 Pro Max is being offered by traders for 43-45 million VND for the 256GB version.

The above price is 5-7 million VND higher than the listed price from Apple.

The 512GB or 1TB versions are also priced higher by 7-8 million VND. Many traders have committed to delivering the devices to users who pre-order them on September 19, the same time the genuine devices are on the shelves.

The main reason for the high price of the iPhone 17 Pro Max is the shortage of goods. Previously, on the evening of September 12, Apple and its authorized dealers in Vietnam opened the portal to receive pre-orders for the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air product lines.

Immediately, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max duo were out of stock, especially the cosmic orange version. That also caused the delivery time to be extended.

In fact, the shortage of iPhones every time they go on sale has been going on for many years. Taking advantage of this, many traders have tried to collect goods and push the selling price higher to make a profit.

According to statistics from The Gioi Di Dong , this system has so far received more than 109,500 orders, of which more than 94,000 have been deposited. Many other agents such as CellphoneS, Di Dong Viet, Hoang Ha Mobile, Minh Tuan Mobile,... also attracted tens of thousands of orders.

"Preliminary statistics up to now, iPhone 17 Pro Max continues to lead in the number of pre-orders, accounting for the highest proportion in the new product line. Next is iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 and finally iPhone Air", said a representative of Minh Tuan Mobile system.

According to the dealers, the initial supply will not be able to meet customer demand, especially since Vietnam is one of the first countries to return goods globally this year. Therefore, the situation of demand exceeding supply is likely to be inevitable.

"Most of the customers who deposited for the iPhone 17 Pro Max in the first batch were interested in the cosmic orange version. This shopping trend is similar to previous years," said Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy, communications representative of the CellphoneS system.
