According to the teaching and learning plan, universities announced the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday schedule so that students and workers can proactively plan their spring travel and return home.

On December 3, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs issued a notice on Lunar New Year holidays and holidays for officials, civil servants, public employees and workers.
Accordingly, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, and socio-political organizations will have the Lunar New Year holiday in 2025 from Saturday, January 25 (ie December 26, year of Giap Thin) to Sunday, February 2 (ie January 5, year of At Ty).
The break lasts 9 days, including 5 official Lunar New Year holidays and 4 weekly days off as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 111 of the Labor Code.
For the business sector, regarding this Lunar New Year holiday, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs requires employers to decide on one of three Tet holiday options.
One is 1 day off at the end of the year of Giap Thin and the first 4 days of the year of At Ty. Two is 2 days off at the end of the year of Giap Thin and the first 3 days of the year of At Ty. Three is 3 days off at the end of the year of Giap Thin and the first 2 days of the year of At Ty.
