To implement effectively, schools need close coordination between the state, schools and businesses.
Enhancing research capacity
In July 2025, the University of Technology (University of Danang) inaugurated the National Key Laboratory for shared mechatronics and applications, with a total investment of 40 billion VND. This is a project approved for investment in Decision No. 884/QD-BGDDT dated March 21, 2024 of the Minister of Education and Training with the goal of improving the capacity of human resource training and scientific research in the field of mechatronics to serve the country's industrial production.
At the same time, promote the policy of sharing experimental and practical equipment to attract and promote links between businesses, research institutes, universities, and support organizations in applied research and innovation activities.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu, Rector of the University of Technology, said that Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW has opened up many favorable opportunities for universities. Currently, the school is participating in projects to invest in more modern laboratories and specialized research centers to serve the research and development of new technologies. Along with that are advanced training programs, international cooperation and preferential policies to attract and nurture talented lecturers and students to improve the school's scientific research capacity.

Similarly, in August 2025, the University of Technical Education (University of Danang ) received the Precision Measurement Engineering Department sponsored by Accretech Vietnam Co., Ltd. with an investment capital of nearly 4 billion VND. From the sponsorship of the enterprise, the school received many modern equipment and components to serve teaching and scientific research such as: CMM coordinate measuring machine (capable of accurately measuring complex geometric dimensions and 3D analysis); profile measuring machine (capable of checking 2D profiles, measuring linear and angular dimensions); surface roughness measuring machine (capable of evaluating surface quality and analyzing the impact of the machining process).
According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Le Hung, Principal of the University of Technical Education, this is an opportunity for students to access, practice and apply theoretical knowledge on modern technological equipment, thereby improving professional skills, meeting the increasing demands of the labor market.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu believes that the cooperation between schools and businesses is very meaningful for the sustainable development of both sides. Encourage businesses to accompany schools right from the program design stage, open new training majors, invest in facilities, laboratories, send experts to guide students to practice so that they can quickly access new technology right in the classroom, shorten the gap between training and practice, reduce training time and costs so that students can quickly integrate and adapt to the modern, professional production and business environment upon graduation...
Proactive innovation
Innovation is identified as one of the three strategic breakthroughs of higher education. In the new context, universities need to identify the focus in cooperation with businesses.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Le Hung acknowledged that at this stage, many domestic technology enterprises have a team of good scientists and experts, so each university needs to determine the focus of cooperation with enterprises. The University of Technical Education will build a space for school-enterprise cooperation in the direction of encouraging enterprises to invest in setting up offices, showrooms, and research centers right on the campus of the school's first facility, creating a creative ecosystem, facilitating technology transfer and human resource development.
To strengthen the connection and promote cooperation between universities and enterprises in the new context, it is necessary to make breakthroughs for development based on high-quality human resources and science, technology, innovation and digital transformation. Recently, Danang University hosted the university-enterprise cooperation forum with the theme "Triple-party cooperation in training and research to develop high technology and strategic technology", which is an opportunity for universities and enterprises to demonstrate great efforts and determination, contributing to creating breakthroughs for the country's development in the new era.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Director of Danang University, said that one of the solutions to remove the bottleneck is to open up resources outside the state budget for higher education. The state, as a midwife, encourages and creates conditions to promote cooperation between schools and businesses so that businesses can participate in the training process, support financial resources and facilities, contributing to improving the quality of training; focus on investing in facilities, laboratories, and practices from many sources such as the budget; strengthen cooperation with businesses to take advantage of more support sources for facilities and equipment for training and scientific research.
Along with that, there needs to be innovation in more effective cooperation mechanisms to take advantage of facilities, laboratories, invested equipment and human resources from universities. The State has preferential tax and incentive policies for businesses to promote cooperation with universities in training and scientific research linked to practical needs, creating wealth for society...
Currently, Danang University has 230 laboratories and 6 multi-purpose buildings to ensure full satisfaction of learning and research needs covering many specialized fields from engineering - technology, basic sciences to social sciences, humanities and arts. Laboratories and research centers are continuously being modernized through key investment programs, in-depth investment, ODA loan projects and international cooperation programs.
In particular, Danang University focuses on developing new generation learning and practice spaces, closely linked to the 4.0 technology trend and practical needs of businesses such as: the cooperation project "Innovation Space" (with Fujikin) at the University of Science and Technology, "Microchip Design Practice Room" (with Fujikin, FPT Software, Renesas, Cadence, Unitec), "New Technology Research and Experimental Lab" at the Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communications Technology (with Nam Long Group); "Digital Creativity Space" at the University of Economics (with MB Bank)...
