Ho Chi Minh City armed forces must be proactive in all situations.

At the training launch ceremony, on behalf of the Party Committee - Ho Chi Minh City Command, Major General Ngo Tuan Nghia, Political Commissar of Ho Chi Minh City Command, launched a competition in the entire Ho Chi Minh City Armed Forces with the theme "Excellent training, good solidarity, strict discipline, high combat readiness" with 5 specific competition contents associated with the implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo and the Campaign "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of being Uncle Ho's soldiers".

Accordingly, representatives of the HCM City Military Emulation clusters signed and agreed to strive to complete 100% of the content and program, ensure the correct and sufficient training time according to regulations, and determined to achieve the highest results right from the first day and the first week of the first month of training.

In 2019, the HCM City Military Forces strive to achieve training targets such as: Training regular troops to reach over 99%, militia and self-defense forces to reach over 90%, and reserve mobilization forces to reach over 96%. The general inspection results show that 100% of training subjects meet the requirements, of which 85% or more are good and excellent; training new soldiers to achieve excellent; organizing competitions and sports events well. The training process ensures absolute safety for people, weapons, equipment, etc.

Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan requested officers and soldiers of the Ho Chi Minh City Armed Forces to seriously follow the combat training orders of the Commander of Military Region 7, develop a strict and serious training plan for each subject, pay attention to force building, improve training quality, be realistic with the local situation and ensure absolute safety, contributing to enhancing the fighting strength and victory of the Ho Chi Minh City Armed Forces in all situations.
