  • "A warm home" for Mrs. Chau Thi Ut's family

Mr. Pham Van Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of Khanh Lam Commune Party Committee, presented the decision to hand over the "Warm Home" house to Ms. Hanh.

Ms. Hanh is in a particularly difficult situation: no land to produce, no stable job. For more than 2 years now, her husband has been missing, leaving her alone to raise two small children and take care of her 89-year-old mother-in-law, who has heart disease and is often hospitalized. For many years, the whole family has been crammed into a severely dilapidated house that leaks every time it rains.

Understanding that situation, the "Warm Home" Program of Ca Mau Newspaper and Radio - Television connected with Ca Mau Lottery Company Limited to sponsor 60 million VND to build a new house.

Local authorities and neighbors came to celebrate with Ms. Hanh's family on the day of handing over the new house.

On this occasion, the benefactors also donated 40 kilos of rice, 2 cartons of milk and 6 million VND in cash, giving her family more confidence and motivation to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

Journalist Trinh Hong Nhi, reporter for Ca Mau Newspaper and Radio - Television, on behalf of the benefactor, presented 6 million VND to Ms. Hanh's family.

On the opening day of the new house, Ms. Hanh's family received many more gifts and necessities from benefactors.

Moved by the day of receiving the new home, Ms. Hanh shared: “This is a dream that my children and I never dared to think of. From now on, my children and I have a stable, cozy place to live, without worrying about the rain and wind. I am truly grateful for the care and sharing of the Newspaper and Radio - Television, Ca Mau Lottery Company Limited, local authorities and benefactors. These sentiments have given me the strength to continue raising my children and taking care of my elderly mother.”

Previously, the program connected with sponsors to donate a bicycle to Nguyen Thi Nha Khanh, Hanh's daughter, so she could go to school.

Not only providing a solid roof, the "Warm Home" program also expands its meaning by connecting the community, creating livelihoods to help the poor stabilize their lives in the long term. Since the beginning of 2025, the program has mobilized the construction and handover of 9 houses, with a total cost of more than 600 million VND (of which nearly 90 million VND is livelihood support). Currently, the 10th house is under construction in Tan Thuan commune, expected to be handed over at the end of October 2025.
