The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that on the night of December 28 and December 29, the North and the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh will maintain cold weather at night and in the morning. In the mountainous areas of the North, there will be some places with severe cold, fog and light fog in the early morning, and sunny in the afternoon.

From Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa, there will be rain, showers, locally moderate rain, heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, in some places over 70mm.

Localized heavy rain is likely to cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and inundation in low-lying areas.

During thunderstorms, whirlwinds, lightning and strong gusts may occur. The lowest temperature in the North is 20-23 degrees Celsius, in the South is 23-26 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature in the North is 24-27 degrees Celsius, in the South is 28-31 degrees Celsius, some places are over 31 degrees Celsius.
