Phong Coc Ward Fatherland Front: Improving operational efficiency after merger

Immediately after the two-level local government model was officially put into operation, the Phong Coc Ward Fatherland Front Committee quickly completed and consolidated its organizational structure and personnel; grasped and resolved the people's legitimate aspirations, in order to improve operational efficiency after the merger.

Phong Coc Ward Farmers' Association launched a campaign to clean up fields for the 2025 crop season.

Phong Coc Ward was established on the basis of merging 4 wards and communes: Phong Coc, Yen Hai, Nam Hoa and Cam La. Immediately after the merger, the Ward Fatherland Front Committee urgently developed and issued Working Regulations, assigned tasks to members of the Standing Committee; directed organizations to grasp the ideological situation, life, work of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, workers and people; security and order situation, ethnic and religious affairs; mobilized people to effectively carry out campaigns, patriotic emulation movements, build new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

Accordingly, the Ward Youth Union has completed the shock team to support and guide people when doing administrative procedures according to the new model, using online public services at levels 3 and 4. The Front Working Committee, branches and youth unions of the neighborhoods have actively carried out general cleaning activities, collected garbage, cleaned the streets and planted more trees, aiming at the goal of building Phong Coc increasingly bright - green - clean - beautiful.

To Ac field (Cam Lien area) has an area of ​​24.3 hectares and is the rice production site of more than 70 local households. After a long period of cultivation, the dirt ditch running through the field is at risk of being blocked due to a large amount of waste, sand, mud, and overgrown weeds and water hyacinth. Following the direction of the ward's Fatherland Front, on the morning of July 11, the ward's Farmers' Association organized a field cleaning campaign for the 2025 crop with the participation and active response of more than 50 officials, members, farmers and 1 mechanical machine. Thanks to that, the entire ditch was cleaned, the flow was cleared, ensuring drainage during the rainy and stormy season, serving the purpose of getting water for the 2025 crop.

Ms. Pham Thi Mai (Cam Lien area) said: Although the weather is very hot, we are still excited to participate in cleaning the fields, because this work has a very practical meaning, which is to clean up the production environment, limit the habitat and breeding of rats, pests and diseases, creating the premise for a successful winter-spring rice crop.

Chairman of Phong Coc Ward Fatherland Front Committee Duong Van Thanh grasps the need for clean water of people in Duong Chay area.

Duong Chay area has 7 households located far from residential areas. Most of these households are in difficult economic circumstances, while the investment for clean water supply projects is quite large, so for many years, households have had to dig wells and build rainwater tanks for use. Mr. Duong Van Khai (Duong Chay area) said: My house is located in the middle of a field, so the well water source is seriously polluted, I only dare to use it for washing and bathing, the rest has to use rainwater. In the dry season, the water in the tank is deep, the family has to ask for each can of water to use, so life is very difficult.

From strengthening the grassroots, grasping the ideological situation and recommendations of voters, the Party Committee, People's Committee and Fatherland Front of Phong Coc ward proposed Quang Yen Water Enterprise to support materials and water pipes; assigned the ward Youth Union to coordinate with the Mass Mobilization Committee of Division 395 (Military Region 3) to support working days to install water pipes to serve the daily life of 7 households in Duong Chay area. The project was deployed from the 16th and is expected to be completed by the end of July.

Mr. Duong Van Thanh, Chairman of the Ward Fatherland Front Committee, said: In the future, the Party Committee, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front of the ward will continue to research and develop a plan to concretize the internal road of Duong Chay area with a length of 1.2km and a width of 2.5m to ensure the needs of traveling and transporting materials for production and harvesting agricultural products of more than 200 hectares of rice fields with 2 crops per year. Thereby, ensuring the proper settlement of the legitimate rights and interests of the people, contributing to the building of an increasingly strong local Party, government, and political system.
