AI effectively supports teachers and students
Resolution No. 71/NQ-TW of the Politburo affirmed strong political determination, considering breakthroughs in education and training development as a "top national policy". In particular, "comprehensive digital transformation, popularization and strong application of digital technology and artificial intelligence in education and training" are identified as key tasks and solutions.
Shortly after Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW was issued, the Hung Yen Education sector quickly materialized the spirit of the resolution through many actions. Plans on digital transformation and AI application in management, teaching, testing and assessment were adjusted and supplemented to suit the new orientation.
Ms. Doan Thi Thu Ha, Principal of Vu Thu Secondary School, said that the strong application of digital technology and artificial intelligence in teaching and learning in the spirit of Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW is an inevitable trend, helping to innovate teaching methods and encourage students to self-study.
As for schools, up to now, teachers have effectively exploited digital learning materials, proficiently used software such as e-Doc electronic lesson plan management, digital report cards, e-Learning. At the same time, applying some AI tools such as ChatGPT, Canva, Quizizz, Google Gemini... to support the design of electronic lesson plans, adjusting content to suit students' abilities.
For students, the school also encourages them to apply information technology and AI to their studies, especially in supporting self-study.

Dr. Nguyen Viet Huy (Deputy Head of General Education Department, Hung Yen Department of Education and Training) shared that recently, the Politburo has issued two important Resolutions: Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. Most recently, Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025 on breakthroughs in education and training development.
Both Resolutions emphasize the application of information technology, digital transformation and especially the application of artificial intelligence in management as well as teaching, testing and evaluation. Its ultimate goal is to improve the quality of teaching and learning in schools. This is also a highlight that the Department is carrying out in a very methodical manner.
Accordingly, from the beginning of 2025, the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen has developed a plan to apply artificial intelligence in teaching management, testing and evaluation and deploy it to all levels of education.
“In our assessment, this activity was carried out systematically and initially brought positive results. Teachers across the province actively participated in training programs organized by the Department. Many schools even proactively invited prestigious reporters to organize internal training sessions,” Mr. Huy assessed.
Need guidelines to avoid abuse
It can be affirmed that artificial intelligence is the door that opens many new learning possibilities for students. However, how students use it effectively is a matter of great concern to many teachers and parents. Because without proper guidance, students can easily abuse it to do homework without understanding the nature of the problem.
According to Mr. Huy, the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen always identifies AI as a very effective tool and is very helpful for schools and teachers in management, teaching, testing, assessment as well as students' learning. However, how to use it effectively is also a matter of great concern to the Department of Education and Training.

“In the training sessions organized by the Department, we always emphasize that AI is a support tool, cannot replace humans and guide teachers and students to use AI in accordance with ethical rules and professional rules. In particular, we guide teachers on how to prevent students from abusing AI, in order to achieve the best learning results,” said the Deputy Head of the General Education Department, Hung Yen Department of Education and Training.
Meanwhile, at Vu Thu Secondary School, Ms. Doan Thi Thu Ha said that in order to prevent students from abusing AI, at the first parent meeting of the year, the school disseminated regulations on the use of software and learning applications, and encouraged parents to monitor to ensure that students used it for the right purposes.
In particular, during class time, students are only allowed to use AI applications to support learning under strict control of teachers.
“In reality, students applying AI to their studies cannot avoid risks. However, the school always tries to support students as much as possible, to help them use tools safely, effectively and for the right purpose,” Ms. Ha shared.
Many opinions believe that in order for Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW to come into practice, it is necessary to synchronously deploy many solutions. Accordingly, it is necessary to focus on training and fostering digital skills for teachers and managers. Invest in technology infrastructure, ensure network systems, equipment, and software are synchronous, safe, and easy to use. In particular, it is necessary to soon issue a framework for guiding the application of AI in general education programs so that AI can truly become an effective support tool in education.
