(GLO)- Domestic pepper prices on June 29 recorded a sharp increase of 1,000-5,000 VND depending on the locality, some places returned to 133,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, in Dak Lak, Dak Nong , and Ba Ria-Vung Tau provinces today, the transaction price increased to 133,000 VND/kg, an increase of 5,000 VND/kg. In Gia Lai, a sharp increase of 4,000 VND was recorded, currently being purchased at 131,000 VND/kg. Dong Nai traders also purchased pepper at 131,000 VND/kg.

Meanwhile, Binh Phuoc province only recorded an increase of VND 1,000/kg, trading at VND 128,000/kg, a slight increase of VND 1,000.

Vietnam's pepper export market has stabilized and remained flat compared to the previous sharp decline. Currently, the export price of Vietnamese black pepper is at 5,800 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l is at 5,900 USD/ton and the price of white pepper is at 8,800 USD/ton.
