Ninh Binh disburses policy credit package for people who have completed their prison sentences

On October 10, the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, Ninh Binh branch, disbursed the first loans in the policy credit package for people who have completed their prison sentences according to Decision 22/2023/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.

Implementing Decision 22/2023/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister , the provincial branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue a document directing relevant units to implement. At the same time, urgently coordinate with the commune-level police to review and quickly grasp the demand for policy credit loans of beneficiaries.

Through a review of the province and the central government's capital allocation plan, on this occasion, the Social Policy Bank will disburse 1.1 billion VND to 13 people who have completed their prison sentences to borrow capital to invest in production and business development, creating jobs; the maximum loan amount is 100 million VND and the loan interest rate is 6.6%/year, equal to the loan interest rate for poor households.

Those who are eligible for loans have completed their prison sentences and resided in the locality, complied with the provisions of the law, and have not participated in social evils, as established by the Commune Police and confirmed by the Commune People's Committee.

The maximum time from the date of completion of the prison sentence to the date of borrowing is 5 years. The lending method is through the household. The representative of the household of the person who has completed the prison sentence is the person who takes out the loan and transacts with the Social Policy Bank.

In the coming time, the Ninh Binh Branch of the Social Policy Bank will continue to disburse all allocated capital in accordance with regulations, ensuring speed and accuracy, helping people who have completed their prison sentences to have capital to invest in economic development and create jobs in their homeland.
