Ninh Binh identifies education as a strategic breakthrough

Outstanding results of the 2024-2025 school year

During the past school year, the Department of Education and Training of Ninh Binh proactively advised the Provincial People's Committee to promptly issue directive documents, school year plans, regulations on extra teaching and learning, 10th grade high school enrollment, high school graduation exams, etc. in accordance with local realities.

The universal education work has achieved many positive results: maintaining and improving the quality of universal preschool education for 5 years old, universal primary education level 3, universal secondary education level 3, and eliminating illiteracy level 2; 100% of preschool children going to school are guaranteed absolute safety both physically and mentally. The 2018 general education program is implemented synchronously and effectively in all grades from grade 1 to grade 12.

At the same time, the industry has promoted digital transformation, applied information technology in management and teaching; built an education database connected with the Ministry of Education and Training . The staff and teachers are increasingly strengthened in quantity and improved in quality. School facilities are invested in and upgraded to better meet teaching and educational conditions and activities.

Comprehensive and key education quality continues to be firmly maintained. At the National High School Excellence Competition for the 2024-2025 school year, Ninh Binh had 227/299 students winning prizes (75.9%), including 1 first prize, 54 second prizes, 81 third prizes and 91 consolation prizes. At the national science and technology competition, the province had 9/9 projects winning prizes.

Notably, in the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, Ninh Binh ranked 3rd nationwide in terms of average score; with 3 subjects ranking first nationwide (Math, Informatics, Geography). The whole province recorded 1 student with a perfect score of 30/30 in block A00 and 1 student ranked valedictorian nationwide with 39/40 points.

Vocational education continues to expand, diversify occupations, improve training quality, and meet the demand for highly skilled human resources.

Comprehensive development orientation in the new school year

At the 2024-2025 school year summary conference, Ms. Ha Lan Anh - Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee affirmed: developing education and training, high-quality human resources, attracting and utilizing talents is the top priority task, and at the same time one of the three strategic breakthroughs of the province in the coming term.

According to Ms. Ha Lan Anh, the 2025-2026 school year is the opening year for the realization of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term and the Education Development Strategy for the 2025-2030 period. Therefore, the education and training sector needs to focus strongly on key tasks: thoroughly grasp and effectively implement resolutions and directives of the Central Government, the Ministry of Education and Training and the province; review and rationally arrange the school network, overcome the situation of small and fragmented; allocate reasonable land funds for schools in urban areas; promote teaching 2 sessions/day, prepare conditions for universal preschool education for children from 3 to 5 years old.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also emphasized the need to encourage the development of high-quality non-public educational institutions to meet the growing needs of the people; promote STEM/STEAM education, develop digital capacity, apply artificial intelligence; strengthen career education, stream students after junior high school and high school; gradually make English the second language in general education institutions.

At the same time, the sector needs to focus on moral education, life skills, strengthen coordination between family, school and society; fully prepare conditions to implement the Law on Teachers; build a team of cadres and teachers with sufficient qualities and capacity to meet new requirements.

The provincial leaders' instructions are the guiding principle for Ninh Binh's education sector to continue to innovate, improve overall quality, and build a safe, modern, and humane school environment. With new momentum and clear direction, Ninh Binh Education and Training enters the 2025-2026 school year with the determination to affirm its position among the leading groups in the country, contributing high-quality human resources to the country's development.
