Promoting solidarity, building Long Thanh into a central urban area

(DN) - On September 19, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Long Thanh commune, term 2025-2030 took place. Long Thanh commune has 27 hamlets, with a population of over 93 thousand people. The commune concentrates many large national and provincial projects, including: Long Thanh international airport, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, high-speed railway, inter-regional transport infrastructure... This has been creating a great driving force for the economic development of Dong Nai province.

During the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Long Thanh commune and its member organizations have effectively implemented patriotic emulation movements; promptly grasped the thoughts, feelings and aspirations of the people to contribute to strengthening the relationship between the people and the Party and the State. At the same time, promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc...

Thereby, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the commune mobilized people to contribute over 1.3 billion VND to implement the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in 2025; mobilized over 2 billion VND to the Fund for the Poor and over 1.4 billion VND to directly help people in difficulty without going through the Fund for the Poor; mobilized over 3 billion VND to support people in the North affected by natural disasters...

At the congress, 140 delegates representing all walks of life in the commune consulted to elect 56 members (3 members were absent) to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Thanh commune for the 2025-2030 term; and elected 2 delegates to attend the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dong Nai province for the 2025-2030 term. At the same time, the congress resolution was voted to pass, which determined the key task of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the commune to promote the strength of great national unity and build Long Thanh commune into a central urban area.

At the first conference, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Thanh commune for the 2025-2030 term consulted to elect the Standing Committee, the Chairman and Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune. Comrade Nguyen Tan Hung was re-elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Thanh commune for the new term.

Speaking at the congress, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Ha Anh Dung commended the results achieved by the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Long Thanh commune in recent times.

At the same time, it is recommended that the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the commune proactively implement a number of key contents such as: Unifying will and action, playing the role of a "direct bridge" between the people and the Party Committee and the government. Promoting proactiveness and creativity in the context of streamlining the apparatus. Strengthening the great solidarity bloc right from residential areas. Improving the effectiveness of supervision and criticism work at the grassroots level. Applying information technology in activities, actively building a "Digital Front" operating model. Building a team of dedicated grassroots front cadres close to the people...

To perform the above tasks well, comrade Ha Anh Dung requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the commune to proactively propose and promptly advise the Party Committee of the commune to create the most favorable conditions for the activities of the front. Closely coordinate with the government, synchronizing with the merged socio -political organizations in the common agency to create high consensus in implementation and action.
