Mr. Nguyen Xuan Minh, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Tri province, said that the program helps promote key products, OCOP products and Quang Tri specialties to the distribution system, export enterprises and consumers in the largest economic center of the country, Ho Chi Minh City. Most of the products participating in this program have achieved 3 to 4 star OCOP certification, are eligible for distribution through modern retail systems and have export potential. Currently, Quang Tri province has 172 OCOP products, including 2 5-star products and 43 4-star products.
Accordingly, this week takes place from September 25 to 28, displaying more than 100 types of products from over 20 businesses and cooperatives in Quang Tri province. The products on display include many agricultural products, with diverse price segments such as: green tea extract, fish mint tea, cereal powder, cajuput essential oil, black pepper, agarwood incense, rainbow vegetable noodles...
Ms. Le Thi Huong, owner of an agricultural processing enterprise in Quang Tri, said that by participating in this week, the enterprise hopes to approach new markets, test new segments and have an opportunity to re-evaluate the suitability of products for consumers in other localities, thereby making appropriate adjustments and changes.
From a management perspective, Mr. Tran Phu Lu, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC), said that with a variety of quality products, this week will bring Ho Chi Minh City consumers and tourists diverse experiences about Quang Tri products. In addition, the connection between Ho Chi Minh City enterprises and Quang Tri enterprises will open up potential for development and connection of more OCOP products and local agricultural specialties, especially when after the merger, both localities expand their areas.
