Việt NamViệt Nam12/08/2023

Commemorating the 62nd anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam (August 10, 1961 - August 10, 2023), on August 12, the Provincial Red Cross in coordination with the Association for the Support of Vietnamese Children Affected by Dioxin in France (VNED) and a number of sponsors organized a program to give gifts to Agent Orange victims in especially difficult circumstances in the province.

Representatives of the Association for the Support of Vietnamese Children Affected by Dioxin in France (VNED) and several sponsors presented 29 gifts with a total value of over 150 million VND, including cash, cakes, and milk to indirect victims of Agent Orange in especially difficult circumstances. This meaningful gift will help the children have more resources to cover their living and studying expenses.

The Association for the Support of Vietnamese Children Affected by Dioxin in France (VNED) is a voluntary organization of French people and the Vietnamese community in France, established in 2001, with the aim of helping victims of Agent Orange during the Vietnam War.

Since 2004, VNED has coordinated with the Ninh Binh Red Cross to assist about 400 poor children and Agent Orange victims in the province with a total aid amount of over 2.5 billion VND through 3 forms of assistance: sponsorship, scholarships and interest-free loans.
