
On the morning of September 18, the Thematic Supervision Delegation of the Culture - Social Committee of the City People's Council, led by Comrade Nguyen Thanh Trung, Head of the Committee, chaired the supervision at Vietory Company Limited (Kinh Mon Ward, Hai Phong City) on the implementation of policies and laws for employees in the period 2021 - 2024.
Also attending the meeting was comrade Nguyen Thi Viet Nga, Deputy Head of the City National Assembly Delegation.
The monitoring team visited and inspected a number of areas such as medical rooms, factories, warehouses, etc. to assess the actual compliance with legal regulations and policies for workers.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Thi Viet Nga acknowledged the efforts of the trade union in accompanying and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers. In the context of foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) increasingly accounting for a large proportion of the economy, the trade union does not only stop at the representative role, but also acts as an important bridge between workers and the company's management.
Therefore, the trade union needs to promote initiative and creativity in grasping the thoughts and aspirations of workers, promptly reflecting them to business leaders to have appropriate solutions. The trade union must also advise workers to clearly understand and properly exercise their rights and obligations, avoiding unnecessary conflicts.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Trung, Head of the Culture - Social Committee of the City People's Council, suggested that Vietory Company Limited should pay more attention to the criteria of production environment and surrounding living environment, ensuring harmonious development between the enterprise and the community. Full implementation of labor laws is only a necessary condition, more importantly, enterprises must pay attention to sustainability factors, create a friendly working environment, and encourage employees to develop long-term.

The company not only cares about income, but also needs to invest in the spiritual life of workers, organize rich and diverse cultural and sports activities. Enterprises need to have practical solutions such as increasing break time between shifts, adding nutritious snacks to help workers recover faster. This is not only a welfare policy, but also a way to improve productivity, discipline and employee commitment to the business.

Vietory Company Limited currently has 3 leather and footwear manufacturing facilities with more than 5,800 employees, of which over 89% are female. The average income of workers is about 8.9 million VND/person/month; the average overtime hours are 124 hours/person/year. 100% of employees have signed contracts and fully pay all types of insurance as prescribed.
Every year, the company coordinates with the Ward Health Center to organize periodic health check-ups for workers; female workers and workers working in toxic and arduous environments are examined twice a year. The company also conducts occupational disease screening, sets up medicine cabinets in workshops and promptly distributes medicine and medical supplies to workers.
