One more candidate suspended from 10th grade exam in Hanoi

According to the assessment of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the Math exam this morning (June 11) took place safely and seriously, and all exam sites across the city followed the exam regulations. The organization of the exam and exam discipline were maintained, and all members at the exam sites followed the exam regulations.

Hanoi has a total of 201 exam sites with 4,477 exam rooms (non-specialized), in addition to 402 backup exam rooms.

The number of officers, teachers and staff present was 15,368/15,369 people, accounting for 99.99% (1 supervisor was sick and a backup teacher was arranged to replace him to ensure compliance with exam regulations). No exam supervisor violated exam regulations.

The number of candidates taking the exam was 115,033/115,651, reaching a rate of 99.5%, with 618 candidates absent. Notably, at the exam sites, 1 candidate was discovered and suspended for violating exam regulations by bringing a phone into the exam room.

Thus, this year's public 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi had a total of 6 candidates suspended from the exam for bringing phones and documents into the exam room.

This year, more than 129,000 candidates will be considered for recognition of graduating from junior high school, of which more than 115,000 will take the 10th grade entrance exam across the city. According to the assigned quota, schools in the area will enroll 69,805 candidates into the public system (in 2022, more than 69,200 students will be enrolled).

The number of candidates this year increased by about 1,000 candidates compared to last year, so the admission rate to public high schools also increased compared to last year. Specifically, the admission rate to grade 10 this year is more than 62%.

In the specialized system (Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted, Chu Van An High School, Son Tay High School), the total number of registered candidates is 11,283. Total quota is 1,895.
