On June 7, information from the Cau Treo International Border Guard Station (under the Border Guard of Ha Tinh province) said that this unit, in coordination with the police force, promptly discovered and seized many documents with propaganda content and practice of "Dieu Am Dharma" from Vietnamese passengers entering Vietnam from Laos through Cau Treo International Border Guard Station (Huong Son district, Ha Tinh).

Ha Tinh Provincial Border Guard confiscated the "Dharma of Wonderful Sound" document from a passenger.

Accordingly, in April 2023, the Cau Treo International Border Guard Station, together with the Provincial Border Guard Reconnaissance Department and the Provincial Police, inspected 10 passenger cars entering Vietnam from Laos through the Cau Treo International Border Gate.

Through checking the luggage and personal belongings of 492 passengers, the authorities discovered and confiscated 1,306 documents and items of various types such as USBs, books, notebooks, etc. with illegal propaganda content about the "Dieu Am Dharma". Checking the computer of one passenger, the authorities discovered a list of 141 people participating in the "Dieu Am Dharma" organization.

Through investigation, the bus owner and passengers confessed that the group of nearly 500 people from the northern provinces of our country went to Thailand to attend a meditation course of "Dharma of Wonderful Sound". After attending the course, these people bought documents to listen to and practice in their home country.

Captain Bui Song Anh, an officer of the Cau Treo International Border Post, said that because there are currently no sanctions against people who follow and practice the "Dieu Am Dharma", the unit has confiscated and destroyed all documents. The authorities also propagate and encourage people not to believe in heretical religions that are not recognized by Vietnamese law and are operating illegally.
