On the afternoon of September 24, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Government's Steering Committee on Science , Technology, Innovation, Digital Transformation and Project 06, chaired the fourth meeting of the Steering Committee. The meeting aimed to review and evaluate the implementation of tasks since the beginning of the year and to thoroughly grasp and deploy key tasks from now until the end of the year.
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the whole country is implementing many tasks to accelerate and make breakthroughs, in which promoting the development of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation and Project 06 is very important, contributing to promoting fast and sustainable growth.

This, according to the Prime Minister, also contributes to stabilizing the macro-economy, controlling inflation, ensuring major balances, controlling public debt and budget deficit in the context of many difficulties and challenges from the domestic and international situation.
Faced with the “headwinds” with many new and complicated developments, the head of the Government emphasized the need to constantly innovate, take drastic actions, renew traditional growth drivers and promote new growth drivers. The new drivers mentioned by the Government leader are digital economy, green economy, circular economy, sharing economy, knowledge economy, development based on science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.
According to the head of the Government, the "pillar" resolutions of the Politburo that have just been issued are all related to science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Emphasizing the spirit of "only discussing, not retreating" and "time is gold", the Prime Minister emphasized the need to take advantage of every day and every hour to bring science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation into all activities.
Although many initial results have been recorded in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation, according to the Prime Minister, there is still much work to be done in the spirit of "catching up, progressing together and surpassing".

The Prime Minister asked delegates to discuss and review the leadership, direction and management work in the past time, and at the same time evaluate the results achieved, point out limitations and analyze lessons learned to find solutions in the coming time.
Suggesting a number of tasks that need to be focused on, the Prime Minister requested the construction of databases for sectors and levels, considering this an urgent issue with specific completion milestones, especially land and housing data.
In addition, according to the Prime Minister, it is necessary to complete digital transformation in the operation of local governments at two levels, especially at the grassroots level, immediately overcome difficulties and bottlenecks, ensure smooth, synchronous and connected operations from the grassroots to the central level and from one grassroots to another.
