Thua Thien Hue raises awareness of implementing ASEAN socio-cultural community goals

On October 26, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thua Thien Hue province organized a training course to raise awareness of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers on implementing the goals of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC), period 2021 - 2025 in the province.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuoc - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thua Thien Hue province delivered the opening speech of the training course.

Participants in this training session include: Representatives of specialized agencies, offices, Inspection Committees, Party committees, Vietnam Fatherland Front at provincial and district levels; representatives of public service units under the Provincial People's Committee, departments and branches; representatives of People's Committees of communes, wards and towns in Thua Thien Hue province.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thua Thien Hue province, affirmed that this is an extremely important activity to raise awareness of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers about implementing the goals of ASCC by 2025, which have been approved by the Prime Minister; the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Provincial People's Committee have developed an implementation plan.

According to the leader of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the activities of the plan are very broad, involving many fields, many departments, branches, sectors, organizations, and localities. Therefore, it is necessary to have correct awareness, clearly understand the problem, thereby mobilizing resources to ensure effective implementation of the set goals.

At the training session, delegates and lecturers from the University of Law, Hue University discussed and shared related topics, emphasizing the extremely special role of ASCC. Mutual learning and the exchange of cultural and social values of communities have helped ASCC gradually develop evenly and harmoniously, creating distinct marks on a global scale. Through the training session, we aim to exchange, share, promote the spirit of responsibility, capacity and act together to spread the soft power of localities and peoples, contributing to building a large ASEAN family of sustainable development, towards the interests of the people.

Previously, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province issued a Plan to implement the goals of ASCC for the period 2021-2025 in the province. Thua Thien Hue strives to effectively implement the goals of ASCC by 2025 to contribute to achieving the national goals of building a people-oriented, people-centered and socially responsible ASEAN community.
