The education sector must have large universities of regional and international stature and modern vocational training facilities to train high-quality human resources, contributing to the country's breakthroughs in science and technology, industrialization and digital transformation.
Regarding international integration, the General Secretary affirmed that integration is to learn from the best, narrow the gap, spread standards, and encourage joint training, program linkage, credit recognition, exchange of lecturers and students, and attract international scholars, thereby enhancing the position of Vietnamese education.
The General Secretary also pointed out the need to focus on building a team of teachers and educational managers; promoting digital transformation and artificial intelligence in education; prioritizing investment in education and building a learning society and lifelong learning.
“In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, knowledge changes every day, every hour; what is advanced today may be obsolete tomorrow.
Therefore, learning is not only a personal need, but must first be seen as a political responsibility, a permanent revolutionary action of every citizen.
At any age, field or profession, we must learn to avoid falling behind, learn to master knowledge and technology, learn to develop ourselves and contribute to building a strong and prosperous country," the General Secretary emphasized.

Keeping the fire of knowledge alive on a remote island
In the 2025-2026 school year, Tran Island Inter-level School has 8 students, including 7 primary school students and 1 preschooler. To prepare for the opening ceremony, 3 teachers braved the waves to the island many days in advance, bringing with them books, school supplies, and the excitement of teaching.
In particular, two volunteer teachers, Pham Thi Hoa and Le Thi Mai Linh, brought their sons (one in grade 3 and the other in grade 5) to study with their friends on the island. “I brought my children to the island so that they could be close to their mother, and at the same time, they could practice independence, learn to share difficulties, and love the land at the forefront of the Fatherland,” Ms. Linh shared.
As soon as they set foot on the island, they received enthusiastic help from the villagers, the village chief and the armed forces. From transporting supplies, arranging accommodation to cleaning up the school together, all created a warm military-civilian relationship.
